    Vladimir Putin

Putin meets Trump in Helsinki. (Looking good by the way Vlad, looking sharp!) Interesting things he said include: 1. Business leaders could co-operate between Russia and the US. Lifting of sanctions imminent? 2. Supports the Nuclear Deal on Iran....diametrically opposed to Trump's position. 3. Joint working groups on intelligence and cyber-security. Can the UK/EU now confidently share information with the Trump administration, knowing it might end up in the hands of Russian agencies? Otherwise I am at a loss as to what this meeting achieved. Syria? Ukraine? Slowing the arms race? Novichok? Election meddling? Somebody had a mini protest at the start...who knows what that was about? He was huckled before the Press Conference started.

    Aristocrats

You know, I feel we are always late to the party with this thread. So why not have one of my world famous lists? If you are looking for a nob or two around Christmas to fill out your DDP package, it might do to consider some of these. Why have diamonds and pearls when you can have Dukes, Marquesses and Earls? I've gone for those over 80 currently or who will be over 80 in 2019. In order of seniority. Wiki is my friend here, any errors are theirs not mine. The Hare's Death Pool

Kicked off the second half with but a few hits since last we met. gcreptile swaps places with Wormfarmer for a podium spot. Nice Guy Eddie is the big gainer with his Wildcard coming in and John Key finally shakes off his long standing tie with mrwhit and moves up the rankings. Prophet also profits (fnah fnah). Take a deep breath, we are moving into deeper water with possible points. Yes, there's a swimming part to this race! See ya again in a fortnight for more leaderboard nonsense!
