You guys. I think I'm right in saying that only me and Bibliogryphon had teams which survived from submission to close intact. Sean had 6 deaths in June. His patience in coming up with new subs was much appreciated.

Well done to DDT, from a forlorn quarter finalist! And thank you msc for running this game again.
-
Ok, the 21 teams are up and I want to thank you all for playing. All the very best to you in this game. Do have a look at your teams to ensure you are happy with them. They are now locked in, except in the case of glaring errors. I assure you, there are none! Oh, and I would like to add my personal thanks to Lindy Remigino for surviving so far.

In less than five minutes, there shall be a Masterlist up on Page 1. Anyone not entered can play the slots for the next 6 months. Then, ironically, we go live.......
-
Oh I never watch such stuff. It comes on the telly and I have a good watch. I can't get into all that discussion group stuff. I'll see it if and when it's on.
-
Good luck, I haven't looked btw, even though my team's in. Maybe tag Wormfarmer in your post, so he checks it?
-
Yeah, I had a look, it's another dame who's converted and Griffin's character bombs her. There's a lot of samey wamey stuff in New Who, I get confused...

Helen Griffin, Welsh actress who appeared in the 2006 Who stories Rise of the Cybermen and Age of Steel, has died aged just 59. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-south-west-wales-44670588 As I recall she's the dame who gets converted to a Cyberman, but is aware, so The Doctor does her in. Other roles include Roberta Kite in Coronation Street and Rita The Toll Woman in Gavin and Stacey. IMDB: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0341211/

Any luck yet? As there's only an hour and a quarter to go, might want just to post your team in the thread...I dunno...

Remember the Mystic Pig? Predictions for the semifinalists were: Belgium Nigeria - OUT Argentina - OUT Uruguay.
-
You are going to have to treat me gently here, I'm not seeing the place of death on Ulitzer's link. Now our Lipschis was deported from the US - is it conceivable that his family (if he had any) had the body flown into the US for burial/cremation? Would that be allowed given his deportation?
-
Surprised if that's the case. That would definitely have been picked up by Die Welt and the BBC I would have thought.
-
Nah, I got it. You simply can't make a bottom joke around a gay man and him not get it...Ha!
-
Take heart, the top three have all used their Joker. Doubling up in the second half is always better....well in this game, not the World Cup of course...
-
Right, everyone who picked their Butts, you've been contacted by me to extract the finger and give me new subs. One person in particular is about to run out of subs....jus' sayin'....
-
He's not the worst. There's one that might send me over the edge.....

Poker entrants - to your inboxes! Chaaaaaarggeee!

The updated leaderboard is as above and that, playas, brings us to the Hare's Pool halfway point. Death Impends increases his lead with his Wildcard hit for Cappotelli and Wormfarmer slots into a podium spot with his Wildcard hit for Vader. FujimoriNoMorey and Book gain from their uniques. As you will see, I have shown the positions the entrants were in at the comparable date 12 months ago. Now judge for yourself whether you are doing better or worse because you have less hits to date and more potential hits to come, whether your Wildcard has been used and what the chances are of gaining on the field. I'm still locked in the lockers! Have to come out of the closet soon, fnah, fnah. Anyway, that's it for the first 6 months. Phew!

Well, Matt Cappotelli was a popular pick, it's taken me ages to notify those affected, sort out subs etc. Let's just say I'm hoping for a quiet Saturday. There's one surviving pick in particular I'm hoping makes it to the start line, because almost every player has that person.
-
There will be a slight delay to the new leaderboard, shouldn't be too long. I'm sorting out the Poker teams due to the death of Cappotelli! Meantime it looks like 4 teams had Matt Cappotelli here, making it the second wrestler since the last update to score here. Back soon!
-
Cool beans, received and under discussion as we speak. I've added you to the list of entrants.
-
Once again, a call to arms for my Poker teams! *sigh*

I missed it but it's been just over 5 years since Hans Hass died. Given Lotte died in 2015, it seems only appropriate that this thread is tagged as fully dead, as per @time's notification.
