Glad to see the Winnie Good/Winnie Bad war has settled down. I've read some guff on both sides of an argument before, but that took some time to wade through!

    Ideas and Possibilities for 2019

Ah Fergie, I'm glad you are keeping it together. I haven't given up the booze per se, I just don't get out as much as I used to for my own health reasons, so no reason to drink when socialising. Even when I'm over at a pal's house, it's tea or coffee for me. I've had a couple of days out recently and a few mind, and boy does that hit you! But it's always been a going out thing - I'd never drink in the house, ever (Presbyterian upbringing maybe?). I don't know how celebs keep it going without resorting to something - public eye, parties, marketing meetings, etc etc. However, when it's an addiction, like any other, it's got to be medically treated (and I don't mean in the George Best way where you fix them up to continue their addiction).

Misdirected yourself there CL, really if you want it should be the Screenwriters Thread.

The Bill (And Other Cop Shows)

Nah, the US soaps in those days were fantasyland for someone like me living in Thatcher's Britain. They bore no resemblance to my life or even one I aspired to. Anyway, not for this thread and if someone wants to even attempt lists in the soap thread for those, they are welcome to them.

Hmmm, sounds like it might be time for a list or two, if anyone's interested?

The Bill (And Other Cop Shows)

Indeed. LA Law was a superb show with an excellent cast (if nothing like a UK legal training in the UK, as I found to my cost later in life).
