    The Deathlist Cup 2018

Press Release: Excitement remains high in the YoungWillz Training Camp. One player is teetering, another is on oxygen and frailty abounds. Despite the manager's best efforts, they are all determined to see March (which year, they haven't told me). Word has reached me that my opponent is currently leading a certain Hare's Pool, and if that is a taste of the rate at which his picks topple, my team have no chance. Subs are limbering up in case February 1st is a stretch for the first team.

    Derby Dead Pool 2018

I'm sure Spade already has a note of those who have died but were not included in the first update. I'm only including deaths from the point I started, otherwise I guess I'd just be encroaching, gotta start somewhere....hope this clarifies.

    The Dead of 2018

OldWillz was watching Brushstrokes late last year. Had him marked out, but felt (probably wrongly) he was likely to go the way of Zara Nutley and Ronald Hines. Good actor. RIP.

    The Hare's Death Pool

I think that makes it six teams who are Cryne, Cryin', Cryyyyyying...now that Patrick has gone so early. More POINTS!

  16. Presidency now using military as bargaining chips...pay the military veterans and take money away from CHIP, healthcare, etc. If the military fight for a safe, secure future for the children of the USA, are they only fighting for the future of rich white kids? Hmm....

    The Joker's Dead Pool 2018

I deliberately (i) randomised the order a la Death Impends; and (ii) put those most likely to expire as subs. Contrary and conformist at the same time....

Nah, you could have had a unique there. But a January expiry helps no-one in this game....

    Derby Dead Pool 2018

Yeah, let's not slate other folks for abiding by the rules in force from time to time. If people want to get excited, make lists, do the analysis let them...it's their way of having fun imo. It's not my idea of fun to worry whether someone will get a QO, I'm normally confident they will (damn you press for ignoring Zara Nutley and did they ever get round to Albert Moses?). People play differently, and we have to live with the rules. You know, someone is definitely going to win this with a team full of "proper" (if I can use that term) celebrities, and someone's going to lose it over a non-QO. Sometime. Maybe not today, or next year. But sometime.....

I'll just disregard this post, shall I? I mean, he wasn't on your team for this.....

    Derby Dead Pool 2018

I dunno msc, just saying where I come from....after all, there seems to be a whole lot of analysis on the part of certain folks of their chances. I think I can fairly say that I'm not part of that. But when my twenty expire quietly this year...BOOOM!

    Derby Dead Pool 2018

Personally I do play for fun and accept that others take it more seriously. Don't think you'll ever find someone who hasn't made some form of fairly significant contribution on my teams, and I do avoid those FFBI/other picks simply because I have no connection to them. Having had a brother who was seriously ill, who we were involved in some major fund-raising for treatment for and who has sadly died, I can honestly sympathise with such people and their plights, but don't see such people as "competition fodder", no matter how interested others become in their situation. So, it's just the famous for being famous, infamous or indeed making a contribution I can identify with that make my teams. Because I'll be sad when they go and maybe have an interesting titbit or two to share.

Maths. It's all addition and subtraction, followed by a triangulation of sickness and age with me.
