Yes, this guy could go in the Businesspersons thread (my preference) or the political frailty thread (for those who insist upon it). But not here! As you correctly understand.

There will always be the Michael Ancrams, the Michael Howards, etc etc. But they were from aristocratic families already. But I'm not sure who you have in mind, so if you could give me a couple of names, that would be lovely. (They still wouldn't be aristos though!).

Just bringing this to the fore again. See the highlighted bit and life becomes so much easier.

Barbara's Unexpected Blessings! Yes, novelist Barbara Taylor Bradford has had A Sudden Change Of Heart - for the worse. Rather less known for her kiddies' Christian books or her interior design tomes, she hit it big with her writings about women made good. The Killing Time was the only player to Hold The Dream as Bradford becomes a Woman Of Substance to gain them points. A late race to the top? We shall see. No Bonuses. I see gcreptile awaits a QO for Bruce Thompson. Keep those eyes peeled for an unlikely obit. Leaderboard updated.

Thinking of you and your folks drol, a long life and as with others, my condolences to you and your folks. She will always be in the hearts of you all.

Aye, you cannot be a missed pick if you could not have been picked at all. Of course, they should be noted as dead behind the scenes on any masterlist or whatever. But, like yer cancer mums or first cousin to Amanda Barrie, forget about it.

Would Elivira qualify for a mention? Would she have qualified as a pick this year?

Labour of love! John Prescott has punched out. Deputy PM for a decade, though it seemed longer. His policy of reducing car usage was undermined by himself by his use of 2 Jaguar cars. Eggs were thrown at him and water poured over him, which made him all the more attractive to his secretary with whom he had a two year affair. He was also attractive to TQR, who picked him as a sub. They draw Q Diamonds for 12 added points. Leaderboard updated.
