So How's Your 2018 Shortlist Looking?
YoungWillz replied to Joey Russ's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
So started drafting my 1982 Top of the Pops theme team. Without looking up health issues or searching at all, I have 12 definites already! So I need to find another 8 plus subs to make up my team. Might not be such a chore after all... -
I think the above is becoming pertinent. I think the opening for entries for next year normally happens around this week. I'm finalising my teams and would like to get them in before the festive. Not terribly urgent for me (I normally punt the teams in around mid-December) but if folk like Phantom of the Midway are off on holiday or away, the situation might be a little more keen, especially if there are to be changes to the rules. Anyway, good luck to TMIB in his last few weeks and to Spade who has to deal with the forthcoming deluge....

I remember picking Peter Hall for this last year...so off the radar, blah blah blah. Although I didn't win, suddenly he appeared on a host of DP teams...and did go within the year. Newhart is just a feeling (cue Bad Manners post), just like Hall was last year. But who knows? I'm not out to win, I'm out to see what happens...

Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Lewis Golden, Unity Spencer, John Butler, Joy Lofthouse.

Thank you, it shall be added to the new Masterlist. You have won the race to have my team entrusted to you. Keep it under your hat.

One month to go...!!!! So while I await my 2017 team's demise during this month (pah!), my team for 2018 follows. Now the earlier you get your team in, the more subs I suggest you submit - I'm looking at JK and Phantom of the Midway in particular who have a track record of picking people who die before the starting gun! Remember, you are looking for folk who will drop in 2018, but later rather than sooner! And of course, the earlier you get your team in, the more chance you have of being the lucky entrant to whom I shall reveal my team in full, in confidence of course. Not that anyone should pick my picks, I'm totally rubbish...and it's a theme team..whooh... Anyway, let's get under way, teams to me by PM or posted on the thread before 23:59 on 31 December will count and don't forget to nominate a Wildcard. Rules are in the Dead Pools thread but I will not be exercising my discretion to allow late teams: The YoungWillz December Delicatessen 2018 01. XXXXX XXXXXX 02. XXXX XXXX 03.
