Not sure that they have paid anything in that regard for years, especially as any other investigations might interferewith or hinder the generously taxpayer funded police investigation. Interestingly, allegedly half a million has disappeared recently from the company set up to deal with donations received. The McC's are tight lipped about where the money has gone, reportedly saying it has been invested. Again, reportedly and allegedly the company is now down to it's last 200 thou. Story was in the Sunday Mail today.

No No it's not their money, it's taxpayers' money coming directly from the Home Office. They aren't paying anything for the police investigation afaik, not a penny piece.

It's quietened down here of late with only one hit amongst all the teams since the last update, so no revised leaderboard for another fortnight when one will be posted, whether or not there are any further hits.

Been To Any Good Gigs Lately?
YoungWillz replied to Brinsworth House Baiter's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Thanks for the thought, PB, but OldWillz makes a fine Sunday Dinner of an evening and as he makes an effort for me which he doesn't have to do, my Sundays are unavailable (unless it's the afternoon, or 10 at night of course). I question sometimes whether I'm a bit old for that sort of thing these days... -
Again they are all dying too quickly for my theme team - the Sledges finished outside the top 30 in 1981 and wouldn't have another UK hit single until 1984. In any event, this is shocking news. Humbly thank you for your contribution to music, RIP.

Dunno why people insist on posting deaths in this thread. They'll be added to the round up in due course. *sigh*

Cheers for that. I left Facebook years ago and nothing, not even deadpooling, will make me go back.

Updated from what I have found. Robert Putt is still going and tweeting. I'd be amazed if Janet Rawson is still going, but I can't find anything definite.

Sad news indeed, have resisted picking him for the last of couple of years. Personally remember him in particular from Scully and Our Friends In The North, as well as The Ghosts of Motley Hall.

Political Discussions And Ranting Thread
YoungWillz replied to Deathray's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
In the week that Theresa May did her best Ted Heath impression, I've just realised Justine Greening looks like she has a clown's face without the need for any whiteface makeup. For political balance (and thus appeasing LFN), Labour's David Anderson looks like a folk singer and the Lib Dems Alistair Carmichael still looks like a liar. -

Now here's one! Carl Conway, who was in the Who stories The War Machines and The Ambassadors of Death, apparently passed away in February, having long previously been reported as having died in 1992 by IMDB (presumably by the same joker who reported Andre Maranne's death). http://tobyhadoke.com/doctor-who/victor-platt-carl-conway-rip/ A former Radio Caroline DJ, other credits include Z Cars, The Saint and a fleeting appearance in Carry On Regardless.
