Ex galatasaray boss too.....watch out sounness I'm not a huge footy fan but even I'd heard of him. When I did the big reveal to my dad (watches all the footy, I mean all of it) about Howe's death, he said "Who?"

The Deathlist Christmas Special!
YoungWillz replied to Lady Die's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I like this suggestion. Might be next year once I've been able to do the research ha ha! Any others? I'm thinking of choosing one from the suggestions to post up on Christmas Day in the appropriate thread. -
The Deathlist Christmas Special!
YoungWillz replied to Lady Die's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I'm thinking there's still time to do one more list on an appropriate thread. I've done Bond Villains, Columbo Murderers, Rowan and Martin Laugh In Stars etc etc. Anyone like me do one more as a special Christmas gift? -

Good luck Shaun! And everybody! I too have now emailed TMIB my three teams and will do the grand reveal as soon as possible in 2016. Hopefully you've got them TMIB.
-
Good grief, I stick him up on Shaun's Death By Numbers and within hours he has his own thread....ha ha! I'm going to miss him when he goes, like many others I guess. Not sure there'll be enough news on him to keep a lively thread, but I'm happy he's getting the full DL treatment.

Does that mean the Hare's DP is cancelled next year? Absolutely not. Results will be up by the 31st for this year (I've done a few teams already) and the Hares Death Pool is open for entries as of now. Cheers, I haven't decided whether to enter this one, but I probably will if I have enough time to cobble a team together. Good luck with it!

This report http://securitymiddleeast.com/2015/12/21/middle-east-regional-intelligence-dec/ says, al-Anbari is in hospital and just injured... Usual with terrorists - you never know. Doubt he'd get any kind of pointage anyway as his background and date of birth are completely obscure due to conflicting reports of his real identity. Think he shouldn't be a pick for anyone actually wanting points next year even if he is still alive.

I understand it's an observation rather than a criticism. Someone who was an integral part of one of the most iconic songs and had a prominent role in the video on a worldwide stage is obscure? The chorus is in fact all the two girls, yet we are only to be concerned with the two blokes in the band? And then years down the line, someone will say on here after Trevor Horn's death "I wonder what became of the girls in the video/on the song". I guessed she was worth mentioning. I know some folk are here for obitability, deadpooling purposes or many other reasons. I caught this titbit of information and do think it's worth mentioning, assuming it is factually correct (she's mentioned on the Wiki page for the song too). I've said before, no big star ever makes it on their own, especially in the music business. This lady may be "obscure" to some, eminently famous to others (Scott Weiland's can of worms opens up), but hey in the future someone can pop in a search and find the post. They won't be searching for a dead cancer mom in three months from their death, but huzzah there'll be plenty of posts about them. Anyway, love you all and I'll no doubt put up more posts which might not matter to some, but at least I'll hope you find informative.

Many folk like myself were never lucky enough to know a great grandparent. Count your time with him here as a blessing MBK and thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

Cheers Shaun and good to hear you are doing ok. I've seen the thread and I'll drop 50 names on the thread when I've had a think and eliminated most if not all of the ones I've chosen for the other competitions.
