I'm shoehorning this in here. 2016 will be the 40th anniversary of The Omen, so in honour of this event and the fact I haven't done a list for ages (I know, you've missed them too), I thought I'd list the survivors of the original film and the two sequels. Are the omens good for these possibilities? Who will survive? All info taken from IMDB/Wiki, usual disclaimers apply and any further information as usual appreciated. The Omen Richard Donner - Director (b. 1930; d.2021) David Seltzer - Writer (b. 1940) Mace Neufeld - Executive Producer (b. 1928; d. 2022) David Warner - Jennings (b. 1941; d. 2022) Harvey Stephens - Damien Thorn (b. 1970) John Stride - The Psychiatrist (b. 1936; d. 2018) Holly Palance - Nanny (b. 1950) Roy Boyd - Reporter (b. 1938; d. 2024) Freda Dowie - Nun (b. 1928; d. 2019) Dawn Perllman - Chambermaid (b.?) Nancy Mannigham - Nurse (b.?) Nicholas Campbell - Marine (b. 1952) Burnell Tucker - Secret Service Man (b.?) Damien: Omen II Stanley Mann - Screenplay (b. 1928; d. 2016) Mike Hodges - Screenplay (b. 1932; d. 2022) Bill Butler - Director of Photography (b. 1921; d. 2023) Lee Grant - Ann Thorn (b. 1925) Jonathan Scott-Taylor - Damien Thorn (b. 1962) Robert Foxworth - Paul Buher (b. 1941) Nicholas Pryor - Charles Warren (b. 1935; d. 2024) Lance Henriksen - Sergeant Neff (b. 1940) Elizabeth Shepherd - Joan Hart (b. 1936) Lucas Donat - Mark Thorn (b. 1962) John J Newcombe - Teddy (b.?) Diane Daniels - Jane (b.?) Corney Morgan - Greenhouse Technician (b.?) Russell P Delia - Truck Driver (b.?) Judith Dowd - Maid (b.?) Thomas O Erhart Jr - Sergeant Number One (b?) Sorin Pricopie - Pasarian's Assistant (b.?) Robert J Jones Jr - Tour Guide (b?) Cornelia Sanders - Young Girl (b?) Owen Sullivan - Byron (b.?) William J Whelehan - Security Guard (b.?) Omen III: The Final Conflict Graham Baker - Director (b.?) Andrew Birkin - Writer (b. 1945) Phil Meheux - Cinematographer (b. 1941) Sam Neill - Damien Thorn (b. 1947) Don Gordon - Harvey Dean (b. 1926; d, 2017) Lisa Harrow - Kate Reynolds (b. 1943) Barnaby Holm - Peter Reynolds (b. 1967) Leueen Willoughby - Barbara Dean (b.?) Now a second terminally ill guy wants a screening.... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/film/star-wars-the-force-awakens/reddit-terminally-ill-british-fan-screening-disney/ I really hope (a new hope, perhaps?) that there's not a really good cliffhanger at the end!

Betty Driver Memorial Soapstar Superstar Thread

Leon Sinden, brother of Donald who appeared as George Carradine in High Road, has died at the age of 88, cancer. http://www.heraldscotland.com/opinion/obituaries/13951544.Leon_Sinden/ Highly attached to the Pitlochry Festival Theatre. His other TV work included appearances in Dr Finlay's Casebook and Upstairs Downstairs, Rough Justice and No Hiding Place. Edit: Anyone with an hour to spare, here's his Upstairs Downstairs appearance as Det.Insp. Bowles: https://youtu.be/sOUk5tn1ykI Sadly, I couldn't find any High Road appearances before retiring to bed. -

Who Should Be On The 2016 Deathlist?
YoungWillz replied to Davey Jones' Locker's topic in DeathList Forum
David Hasselhoff. He's appearing in panto with The Krankies. And Michelle McManus. Nothing good ever came of that. On a more serious note, I'll put forward Douglas Hurd. No surprise there I know, but if he makes it to the starting gate, he won't cross the line to 2017 imo. -
Bon "Voi Voi"-age, dear lady. RIP.

Haruko Kato, Japanese actress who is probably best known as the voice of Madam Suliman (IMDB has Sariman) in Howl's Moving Castle, has died at 92. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2015-11-05/howl-moving-castle-voice-actress-haruko-kato-passes-away/.95024 Stage, TV and film, also signed with Toho, but as that thread is more Godzilla based, she fits better here.

Is Deathlist Too Permissive Of Banter/abuse Of Posters?
YoungWillz replied to Deathray's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Is Healey in a hole, or was he cremated? I think the mods will see a clear line when it is crossed, it's not for us to question their judgement. It's their forum, deserving of respect. Tuppence paid in full. *Exit, pursued by a glare.* -
Ooo, the thought of Harry Styles all stiff - I would let him rip my spine apart. Cool, that leaves Niall Horan all for me - huzzah!

Is Deathlist Too Permissive Of Banter/abuse Of Posters?
YoungWillz replied to Deathray's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Why anyone would want me banned is anybody's guess. I report some deaths, comment and sympathise on our collective loss and in general respect all posters, whether guests or members. I take time to respond to criticism of whether I've posted in the "correct thread" and I'm not even that bothered if folk post the same death afterwards (maybe a bit tetchy if it's posted within 24 hours in the same freaking thread). I've used the appropriate ranting threads, hey that's what they are there for, right? Hardly, if ever, using profanity, and always open to rebuttal. I wasn't going to enter this discussion. I've only been here 10 months, and am a first time forum of any kind user. I have tripped through some previous threads and can honestly say go back 5, 7 or ten years and there are outright battles of some unbelievable language, verging on hatred on occasion (maybe just the way I'm reading it). I'm astounded I'm even mentioned in despatches. -

Doctor Who is one of those shows where due to the length of time it's been running, there will be a whole array of actors would have appeared in an episode or two. Every time I'd go to the theatre and glance through the program 9 times out of 10, the actors would have appeared on Dr. Who, The Bill, or Casualty I agree. There's lots of reasons why actors appear in this thread for Doctor Who appearances, but I guess the main one for me is that an actor can have many myriad roles in TV and film, appearing in a scene here or an episode there, but when they appear in Doctor Who, especially the classic series, their role is inevitably much larger and more central to the plot, sometimes over three, four, six or even ten episodes. Given that, the iconic status of the serial and that certain folk will remember certain stories with affection combine to highlight their appearance here.
