you'll be pleased to know that it appears that reports of Richard Davies's death was greatly exaggerated. There is no reports of it anywhere online and references to it has now been removed from Wikipedia. Check your sources more carefully next time ! Richard Davies' death gets a mention here: http://tobyhadoke.com/doctor-who/richard-davies-welsh-character-actor-rip-1926-2015/. Wouldn't surprise me if a Guardian obit follows.

Aha Sir C, I'm glad you asked. By no means is it supposed to be a full list. It has been compiled from a previous list posted on this site, then I added in references from other posts on this thread and further additions were made as and when they were reported upon in the press, etc. Interesting to note the number who have died this year already. Simply forms a base for discussion and for those interested in adding to their deadpools in the future (some are already in the DDP this year, for example). Any further additions are welcome, if you know of names that can be added in.

Both the Buzzcocks and the Clash were formed the year after the last UK referendum on the EEC, though I doubt it was as a specific reaction to the result. Maybe this EU referendum will lead to a resurgence in quality UK music? -

Jeez, two big misses for the DDP this year. Gawd bless 'em. In particular Honeycombe was my favourite newsreader when I was wee. (That is "young" in Scots, not the streak of wee I grew up to be).

First Humanist funeral today (I'm having one myself) - lovely service and a good send off to a dear friend. Going to get changed and head out to a place I swore I would never set foot in again, just because the last time I saw my friend he said I should go. Loads of faces I knew who treated me like an old friend and who I have missed terribly, hopefully I will be welcomed back if just for one night, for that is what my pal would have wanted. If not, casino and (hopefully) grieving sex with someone who cares. -

Could this be the beginning of the end? unlikely as all the tests appear to be fine and he has been released from hospital but it is never a good sign when old people start falling over. I wouldn't be surprised if the old man made it to be 100 to be honest as he seems to be the type who will go on forever but one to keep an eye on all the same. The prospect of an all-mourning dance episode of "Strictly" could be an enticing prospect though. "And now, Peter Andre and Janette Manrara dance the Paso Doble to 'I Can't Stand Up For Falling Down!"
