You sat through the lot, then? Lets put it this way, when I invested in a widescreen television I thought it was so I could view films closer to their original aspect ratio. Little did I suspect the uses to which the technology could be put. Assuming your telly is the size you claim it'll be round to yours to watch the touching documentary about the late 65 stone Carl Thompson on Channel Five on Thursday. Obviously, out of respect to those he left behind Channel Five have already started - ahem - bigging this up in the press, with the man spread across the best part of two pages in The Sun today. His head's mainly on the left hand page, incidentally. Watched the show. I have to say Carl's story is a tragedy, regardless of his situation, how he got there or even his non-comprehension of what he needed to do. It should never have got to that stage. I may also add from a personal point of view, it's deeply saddening that Carl appears to have paid for cars, holidays, rent and rates in abundance to the local takeaway shop, whose owner and staff should be deeply ashamed of (a) putting their business before people, and (b ) not involving any other service who could have helped Carl long before his own too late cry for help was heard. Admittedly he was a hard person to have empathy with, but where along the line did those he knew and had dealings with lose their common sense/basic human compassion? Crikey, my other brothers and my dad put on a stone and I'm at them.

I'd say he falls into the Uzzaman category, but at least with Uzzaman there's hope that he died in 2015 (for deadpoolers obviously). Anyhow, The Times have published an obituary which is as good as confirmation he's dead, personally I'd assume the worst and he's been dead a long time and won't gather points. http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/opinion/obituaries/article4513239.ece?CMP=Spklr-_-Editorial-_-TWITTER-_-TimesObits-_-20150730-_-216118445&linkId=15960975

I'm going to have a think this time before I vote. I've got the time it takes to read the rest of the forum, check obits etc and I'll be back on my white horse, riding to the rescue to one of the main list. Stay tuned!

Mike Pyle, captain of the Chicago Bears in the 1960s, including their championship season of 1963, has died at 76, possibly dementia from reading his wiki. http://wgnradio.com/2015/07/29/former-chicago-bear-wgn-radio-host-mike-pyle-dies/ -
can I put you on my shadow list next year No. I'm going to start gym (now I can afford it),I'm eating more healthily than ever (porridge in the morning good for the heart you know), I brisk walk every day and I'm single, so no partner to quietly do away with me in the night for life insurance. Which probably means I'll be run over by a bus in the next 6 months lol. How would you know I was dead anyway? Is there a time period within which you are presumed dead by Listers if you haven't posted?
-
Oh I'm flattered ha ha. No, my brother's estate (he died without a Will,so extra hoops to jump through) is almost finished, I had a heart attack in January, so just covering the bases. It's never too early to get a Will done, well unless you're under 18 I guess. Look at Bianchi, Houston etc etc. You never know when your time is up.

Just been finalising my Will. The event will be for the guests rather than for me, but I think I am going to specify one song which must be played. This version of The Rainbow Connection: https://youtu.be/HThZI80hmdQ

Darn I didn't vote for him so he couldn't be saved. Good long run, good to firm, hurdles jumped, finishing post passed. Adieu.

Four northern white rhinos, as sad as this it's not quite as bad as your post makes it sound. There's still 20,000 southern white rhinos. Couldn't some of the southern ones move north to balance things up?

Who Will Win The Leadership Election?
YoungWillz replied to Deathray's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I've gone for Corbyn, he's the only one who could re-energise debate and politics. I'll not be voting, three pounds = three Thunderballs and there's more excitement in that. I have had a little theory simmering away for years now. My thought is that the Tories (beginning with She Who Is Now Dead But Whose Legacy Still Kills - snappy, huh?) have had one aim in the last 30 years - to destroy the brand that is Labour (whether New or not, Labour is the poison word). Look at history - begin by taking away the base of what was once labour skills, then re-brand the remaining labour based skills as "services" in line with all other forms of work. Then make everyone believe such work is service provider, rather than manual labour. That then puts in people's minds that the Conservatives (think of the connotations of that word) are the party of the here and now (rather than the old-fashioned out of touch elite they were and remain) and that Labour is an out-dated 20th century concept. By this rather successful jape, Labour look (a) backward; (b ) non-progressive; © when trying to determine policy for today and the future, hypocritical at the least and almost identical to the Tories at best (especially when Harriet says at the Queen's Speech they will be an effective opposition, then Labour sit on their hands and abstain on key votes on welfare and vow delivery for Scotland). Labour is dead unless (first) they re-brand, and (second) become an opposition that speaks for the people against the Government - and that means on EVERYTHING. This theory always comes out after a couple of pints, but then that's what I've had today. Crikey, even Sewel talked sense on his lines of coke, if a sober opposition leader can't do the same, they're done. Tuppence rant over lol. -
Peter Dickson, voiceover for The X Factor (UK) has left the show. (Please read this in his voice, it'll be more exciting). http://realitybox.co.uk/the-x-factor-2015-voiceover-peter-dickson-has-left-the-show/ Not as a result of health or death, just part of the revamp that brings in people like Nick Grimshaw (he of no discernible talent or ability).

Here in Glasgow it has been absolutely tanking it down with rain (so an ordinary summer!). Picked the wrong day to update my wardrobe (two sets of Jeans, Adidas and D&G trainers, socks, underwear) but I did enjoy a pint or two in a city centre bar playing 80s classics. Oh to be a boy again in those heady days before Childline!
