Pretty sure this is neither of the DDP candidates, but yet another Ron bites the dust. This time it's long time art director of AMV BBDO, largest UK ad agency, Ron Brown. http://www.moreaboutadvertising.com/2015/04/david-abbotts-art-director-ron-brown-dies/

Gertrude Weaver is already doing interviews!!! She's in trouble now...http://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/reuters/article-3022010/Be-kind-live-long-worlds-oldest-woman-says-Arkansas.html
Edit: whoops, maybe she said what she said some time ago (read the article twice and thrice through, YW!!!)
The curse strikes again! Jerelean Talley should stay well away from the press!
Maybe we could get Susannah Mushatt Jones to interview Jerelean, on 23 May. No...fanciful.....perhaps....maybe...

Gertrude Weaver: 3 teams, 2 jokers. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/reuters/article-3027960/Arkansas-woman-dies-116-6-day-reign-worlds-oldest-person.html
Edit: Weaver's not dead, she's just gone into another loom. (would've been funnier if she was the Japanese one, but hey, I tried). Telegraph: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/11518696/Worlds-oldest-person-dies-aged-116.html

Pressure of the title seemed too much for Gertrude Weaver, not even the world's oldest person for a week and she's already dead.
Oldies dropping like flies! On 2015's strike rate so far, if there's a cleric somewhere named Ron Taylor who's over 100, we should be expecting his imminent demise.

Dave "Devilfish" Ulliot, hero to many a student/unemployed layabout in the early 2000s because of "Late Night Poker", has colon cancer pretty bad. Not so much a "possibility for 2016" as a "possibility for the first week of April 2015".
Indeed. Charon has confirmed and it's on Ulliott's twitter account.

Did anyone see the BBC1 Eurovision programme this weekend? Awful programme but it featured lots former winners including the very first winner Lyss Assia who is now in her 90s. Most of the Brotherhood of Man and Johnny Logan were not looking great. In contrast, Germany's 1982 winner Nicole looks better now than she did then.
I did. 1984 was a very special year for me, so I had happy tears when my boys sang the winning song from that year. *my sig explains*

Fondly remembered from when I were a lad. Get Some In, with Tony Selby on a RAF base. Quite non-PC, all available on Youtube.
I've decided I can cobble together a theme team from this and The Ghosts of Motley Hall, called Get Some In at Motley Hall.

He plans to participate in the Sahara ultra-marathon:
http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2015/mar/06/sir-ranulph-fiennes-sahara-marathon-des-sables
He would not be the oldest person to successfully participate, but the article mentions his "fragile health, two heart attacks, diabetes and a cancer operation".
I suppose heatstroke will make a pleasant change from frostbite.
Starts today...probably dead within the week.
