Losing a pet is a big pain and people who say it isn't nearly as big as a deal as losing a human friend have not been there. My sympathies are with you Phil.

Joe Cole, roadie for Henry Rollins/Black Flag and formerly Hole, was shot and killed after attending a Hole concert with Rollins in '91. Among his tributes are from Henry himself aswell as Sonic Youth having two tribute songs on their "Dirty" album: 100% and JC. Wiki article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Joe_Cole -

Stairway To Heaven/ Highway To Hell
FixedBusiness replied to Lewd_Squirrel's topic in DeathList Forum
Oh fuck yeah! Cassette or vinyl the way to go imo. -
I was actually wondering that too, with famous for being ill/old people since there's not really a rule for that. I only have like 10 of these type on my list but if I could get a clear answer it would be helpful, thanks.

Stairway To Heaven/ Highway To Hell
FixedBusiness replied to Lewd_Squirrel's topic in DeathList Forum
Damn. R.I.P. Sanctuary and Nevermore are both great bands. Also, MetalSucks reported his age as 48 but he was 56. -
I had her as a lock on my one of my DDP teams too. I also had Hallyday but wasn't really a lock since he'd been I'll for some time.

Almost done my list, need around 450 more people. Also in response to Cast, I'd assume it's anything that any of the DPs on DL accept as an obit.

Speaking of people with (possible) CTE, I found this: The father of former ice hockey player Stephen Peat fears he may be close to death and homeless. In 2015, Stephen also pleaded guilty to arson by neglilence relating to a fire in his father's home. Likely won't get a obit because he's one of these smaller Canadian ice hockey players but we'll see. Just wanted to post this here.

I will participate in this, my first time. I'll probably be sending my team in late December.

FixedBusiness replied to Spade_Cooley's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon and Garfunkel is always a fun one. *just a note, I've only ever done karaoke once, during band camp in grade 8. I forget what I picked then. -
