If Krenz will live more or less for another decade, he will end up on the DL. Would be a too big relic to miss.

When you were constantly choosing Jimmy Carter in this game back in 2018 and he was kind of a newcomer I thought he'd be among the first deaths. We are in 2023.

Glad Ryzhkov has a thread at this point. He is really the last survivor of a generation of communist leader with the recent deaths of Strougal, Silayev and Modrow. I find it signifcant that the Eastern Bloc is fading, for what it meant to me and to those who can remember. The Eastern Bloc was the suppression of individuality, everything had to be gray and the same, emotions were constantly to be repressed. Look at those men who just died, or Ryzhkov himself. All impassive, dressed in the same way, many identical gray bureaucrats. That was the Eastern Bloc.

Wow, Eastern Bloc nonagenarian commies falling like flies! Rhyzkov should really hide somewhere...

Ned Jarrett's wife Martha dead.

Indian supercentenarian Teli Nigla dead at 131. Anyway in the first lines of the article his age is reported as 13. Averaging the two numbers you could get a more accurate result. EDIT: his son T. C. Teli was an Arunachal Pradesh minister who died at 50 in 2014. Old Nigla would have had him at 72, which could be quite unlikely.

Oomen Chandy hospitalised . It may not be his time yet but surely he is circling the drain.
