After the death of Ali Haydar, here's three old henchmen of Assad still going: 1)Ali Duba (1933): chief of military intelligence who was seen voting in a wheelchair last year. Clearly suffering from extreme physical frailty and possibly dementia. 2)Ali Aslan (1932): chief of the military staff who was awarded the Order of Merit last year. Seems to be fine. 3)Rifaat al-Assad (1937): vice president and uncle of Bashar, suffered a gastric hemorrhage some time ago. Wanted for every kind of fraud in France, so came back to Syria last year. -
