Chinese president Xi Jinping is reportedly suffering from brain aneurysm and refusing surgery. Voices have been insistent for the past weeks, and there has been no denial. Also notice Xi Jinping's mother Qi Xin (wiki) is still alive at 95.

Hospitalised. Doesn't sound good.

He won't see 2023 anyway. He has been overdue for the last few years.

Italy has 5 heads of state or government over 90 alive, but most of them seem to be hanging by a thread. 1)Giorgio Napolitano (1925): aortic dissection in 2018, initially given a very poor prognosis, has been very frail for the last few years. Hospitalised in 2021, now in ICU after abdomen surgery, though not in danger. 2)Arnaldo Forlani (1925): in ICU in 2016, frail and bedridden for the last few years. 3)Ciriaco de Mita (1928): hospitalised in 2020 and 2021, severe fall and broken hip in February 2022, stroke in April 2022. Still serving as a mayor nonethless. 4)Lamberto Dini (1931): the toad is in excellent health and still giving interviews as of May. 5)Nicola Mancino (1931): apparently in good health.

Giorgio Napolitano in ICU after "delicate" surgery, but his conditions are "not worrying".
-
Stefano Tacconi out of ICU, breathing on his own and globally out of danger.

Arnaldo Forlani

Hospitalised.

Kim Yong-nam is on Hyon's state funeral committee, a sign he retains some power and may not be in too bad conditions. O Kuk-ryol is nowhere to be seen, despite being a military type like Hyon. That might suggest he is close ti circling the drain too.

Hyon Chol-hae dead at 87.

Nothing too serious it seems, but Juan Ponce Enrile is currently hospitalised.

So, congrats to @MortalCaso, who wins the round with NK Head of State Yang Hyong-sop. New round to be started.

Yang Hyong-sop (1925-2022) Live fast, die Yang! Hey, that was for me, you bastard! (Jiang Zemin) Age at death: 96 Known health issues: Near death in 2017, struggling to walk in 2020, wheelchair bound in 2021. Cause of death: "cerebral infarction". That's North Korean for "stroke". Alignment: Come on, why are you even asking, he was a North Korean cadre!

Funny that I read the news while in the airport at 4 a.m. in the morning. So next should be Kim Yong-nam, whose health has in fact steadily declined since 2019. Hyon Chol-hae, who has suffered from Parkinson's and dementia for years, should be another one at high risk.
-
Wanted to post it yesterday, anyway hospitalised.
-
Our favourite paedo-protector Angelo Sodano has been hospitalised with COVID pneumonia and the article tone is not very optimistic.
-
Hong Kong cardinal Joseph Zen arrested. 90 years old.
-
Xi Jinping has a cerebral aneurysm which required him to be hospitalised in 2021. He is now treating it with "Chinese traditional medicine". Times of India is a reliable source, this should be at least partially true.

Add other two: "Cambodian Ray Charles" Kong Nay, 78, hospitalised with diabetes complications and Javed Hashmi, 73, Pakistani politician, who is undergoing heart surgery. Both have a troubled health history.
