Still nothing on Richard, which I am starting to doubt. Robert F. Titus (wiki), American fighter pilot during the Korean and Vietnam wars, reportedly dead at 97.

Chalong Pakdeevijit dead at 93. -
Schillaci's case is puzzling. Initial reports stated he was very close to death with terminal cancer. The denial by the family was very weak ("he is stable and monitored all day and night"). It was breaking first page news on all Italian major outlets, so you'd think he'd have a few days left at best. Then reports came out he is actually hospitalised for a minor cardiac issue, or for pneumonia. According to the latest news he is improving decisively and they are withdrawing oxygen. Everyone now says the initial situation was greatly exaggerated. It is not even clear if his cancer is actually terminal. I still think he is fucked, but maybe not soon as I thought.

Kenneth Cope (1931-2024) "It's hard to cope with this" (Hardline Carry On fan) "You must be that Asian-Peruvian tyrant! You are a digusting human being!" (St. Peter when he saw Kenny at the Pearly Gates) Age at death: 93 Known health issues: Cope was born in 1931 but suffered from COPD since 1929 at least. When I joined this forum in early 2016, he was on his last legs, and known as Kenneth COPD. He survived a death hoax in 2024, Cause of death: Hmmmmmm...... Alignment: The lord will reap the wheat and the weeds in the same day. And he took Cope, a universally liked character actor, the same day he took a universally reviled monster known as Alberto Fujimori.

Alberto Fujimori (1938-2024) "Hospitalised" (Random post on Fujimori's thread) "He is still our candidate for presidency" (Keiko Fujimori after her father's death) No, no wait, this is not the right faker.... Age at death: 86 Known health issues: Here's a brief resume from Alberto's LinkedIn. 2017: released from prison sue to failing health 2018: diagnosed with lung tumors 8 August 2018: hospitalised for severe heart disease 4 October 2018: hospitalised 29 December 2018: hospitalised 27 June 2019: hospitalised 19 August 2019: well, you know 9 September 2019: hospitalised 4 February 2020: hospitalised 21 March 2021: hospitalised 2 October 2021: hospitalised 10 November 2021: hospitalised 3 March 2022: hospitalised 18 April 2022: hospitalised 21 May 2022: hospitalised 29 June 2022: hospitalised 7 February 2023: hospitalised 20 May 2023: hospitalised 29 April 2024: hospitalised, diagnosed with metastatic tongue cancer 26 June 2024: hospitalised in ICU after fall July 2024: Running for President Cause of death: Metastatic tongue cancer. Alignment: A dark horse in the 1990 presidential race, he won against Mario Vargas Llosa. Peru was in a deep economic crisis after the incompetent presidency of Alan Garcia, who would blow his head off many years later. Abimael Guzman and the Shining Path were going strong and brutal. Fujimori, apparently a quiet academic, actually proved extremely tough against his enemies. In a few years economy was going well and the Shining Path was a bad memory. "It's all going too well, I have to fuck up everything" In 1992 Fujimori, along with his number one henchman Vladimiro Montesinos, shut down the Congress and took all powers. He had been planning that for two years. He kept the power for other ten years, characterized by endemic corruption, human rights violations and forced mass sterilization of indigenous people. Thousands of Peruvians were killed as political opponents. Alberto had scores of minions (Efran Goldenberg to just say one) and very few (Javier Valle Riestra to say one) had the guts to stand up against him. His reign of terror came to an end in 2000 when after another scandal he flew to Japan. He was arrested in Chile in 2005 and had been in & out of jail, and in & out of hospital for years. On the DL radar for the last seven years, he had just announced he would run for president in 2026 before his untimely death.

I'd like to spend some more words for Luca Giurato. He was a national icon, a cultural phenomenon. And not because he was particularly good; he was always mediocre at best. He rose to cult status thanks to his continuous malapropisms and involuntary comicity. He was a meme before everyone knew the word "meme". Just to remember him, he once had in the studio the president of Italian deaf mute association. He introduced him, then said "Hear, in a few words, of course, can you speak about...."

Luca Giurato, a huge cult name in Italy, suddenly dead at 84.

When he started to improve it became clear it wasn't his time. He is just 86, meaning he could carry on for another 5-6 years of continued hospitalizations.

A brief recap of hospitalised folks ( @arghton tell me if I miss someone): 1)Nritya Gopal Das (1938): certified immortal, failing health for the last 4 years, in ICU with UTI and other ailments; now stable and expected to make a full recovery. DISCHARGED. 2)Harvey Weinstein (1952): alleged failing health for the last few years, recently in ICU with double pneumonia, underwent emergency heart surgery and was reportedly critical; now out of danger and the whole situation was likely exaggerated. 3)Totò Schillaci (1964): suffering from metastatic colon cancer since early 2022, hospitalised in seemingly desperate condition; now reportedly improving as he was actually hospitalised for minor arrhythmia. 4)Pravin Gordhan (1949): SA politician, failing health for the last two years, hospitalised and wording is ominous, but it was ominous for most of the cases on this list. DEAD 5)Joe Wilson (1947): suffered minor stroke; stable and not in danger. DISCHARGED. 6)Mustafa Monwar (1935): hospitalised in ICU with advanced prostate cancer and other thousands of deadly diseases; now improving.... 7)Sitaram Yechury (1952): originally hospitalised for "routine check-up", has been critical and on life support for a while; seems to be resisting well.DEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDD 8)Gary Shaw (1961): Aston villa footballer, in coma after fall; hopefully able to recover. DEAD 9)Rupert Keegan (1955): racing driver, hospice care with terminal cancer. 10)Eddie Miró (1935): Puerto Rico presenter, recently on life support; splendidly recovering apparently. 11)José Mujica (1935): president of Uruguay, esophageal cancer, CKD, vasculitis; on the mend and cancer free. DISCHARGED. 12)Hari Babu Kambhampati (1953): Mizoram governor, lung infection, but stable and recovering. Sam Nujoma, Jorge Lanata, Yuriko Mikasa all still in hospital.
