Cross-posting the death of Charles G. Cleveland, last flying ace of the Korean War, aged 93. Plus I note there is a new Medal of Honour recipient from Korean War, Ralph Puckett, who will turn 95 in December.
-
Shocked that no one noticed the passing of Charles G. Cleveland on May 22, aged 93. Cleveland was the last surviving flying ace from the Korean war.

Trần Thiện Khiêm (1925-2021) Your Thiem is up! Age at death: 95 Known health issues: Frail and wheelchair bound since 2018 at least, seemed on his last legs when he received baptism two years ago. Cause of death: Natural causes. Alignment: Long-time PM of South Vietnam, ally of Murica, and historically speaking, a dinosaur. Not the nicest bloke by some accounts.

After taking Kenneth Kaunda and Milkha Singh in two days, the Reaper is getting a short vacation to relax.
-
Never heard any of those names before.
-
Love to see Fauja Singh is getting the protagonist role in "Thinner" remake.

That was shocking for me. He was unbelievably fit for his age, which is probably "only" 85 too. I'd never believe COVID would kill him and his wife in a month if they'd told me a month ago. He was able to walk unaided and even run into his late 80s, he promoted physical wellness and exercise until 2020. COVID can be a nasty illness.

Kenneth Kaunda (1924-2021) What's the frequency, Kenneth? (R.E.M) Age at death: 97 Known health issues: Overweight, hospitalised with fever in 2014, falsely reported dead in 2016, hospitalised again with pneumonia at least twice. Died suddenly while "steadily recovering" from another bout of pneumonia. Yeah, that's what Xinhua said. Cause of death: Pneumonia. Alignment: Freedom fighter who became a tyrant who became a deposed tyrant pretending to be a freedom fighter. Your time is up, comrade!
