Dead. Try to swim faster.

Tseng Chang, who was the Chinese grandpa in 2012 alongside Lisa Lu, is dead at 89. I went to see the movie when it came out in.... 2009?! Seems yesterday to me! Anyway the movie sucked and the Chinese grandparents were one of the few entertaining features. Like "The World will end in a matter of hours!" "Well, now I kill this chicken for lunch, then we'll think about it" (he did not speak but that was the sense) And they thought about it as they were among the few survivors if i remember correctly.

No real news, only he is under house arrest according to his brother.
-
Fake news. Chiwenga will be at SB Moyo's funeral tomorrow, he is not positive nor in China.
-
Discharged, but "has not recovered yet".
-
My take on the whole discussion. From 1:07 onwards.
-
Finally recovered. It was really downplayed, as he had been in hospital till yesterday. Now back to nursing home.

Hal Holbrook, according to some IP from New York. Dismissable as a vandalism?

Now Charlie Njonjo tuned 101 and is still fit as a fiddle.

Larry King (1933-2021) "Pah, another Murican amateur!" (Dilip Kumar) Age at death: 87 Known health issues: Heart attack and subsequent surgery in 1987, lung cancer in 2017, serious stroke in 2019, heart issues in late 2020, COVID-19 in 2021 Cause of Death: Sepsis as a likely complication of COVID-19. Alignment: he was a smart fucker, wasn't he?

Easy answers not always the right answers.

Some obvious misses were pointed out since it came out. Larry was the most obvious (already seriously ill with heart issues late last year, and had lost two children), Carlos Menem (quite easy punt) and Gorbachev (has been ill for years and years) are two other awful absences. I feel Desmond Tutu should have been on the list, he has suffered from cancer for a very long time, was close to death many times and COVID is sweeping South Africa and Jiang Zemin should have been on it too (years and years of heart disease, close to death at least twice, long absence from the political scene...).
-
He was never discharged. He was a goner from the start and would have been a goner anyway this year. Shocking miss from DL, which also missed Carlos Menem.

Not the most reliable source, though, I'd say.

A movie about Fauja Singh is in production . He has not commented on the book about him and no health update is given.

So who's next? Chiwenga? Kembo Mohadi? The Crocodile himself?

1)I said it works for both 2)You can't answer on that 3)That wasn't what you were saying in first place. You were being a sassy twat and I hope you understand that. The economic problem is real.

1)What protects from COVID also protects from the flu. So the number of flu infected must be lower. 2)the 70.000 more deaths in a year have been calculated on general mortality, irrespective of the cause of death. How do you explain that? 3)I've known around 15 people who died of COVID, being in one of the hardest hit areas in the country. Only one of them had cancer too. Happy?
-
Can i know what that facepalm stands for? What is your deep argument?
-
Surely. I'm sure vaccine will cause 70.000 deaths more than a year average in my country, like COVID did. Or they were all road accidents?
-
Pretty sure the mortality among those who get the vaccine is the same of the general population. You don't probably understand vaccines don't make you immortal.
-
More specifically he is suffering from acute kidney failure.

Indeed it is spreading to Africaa and data are dramatically underestimated. Among nations heavily hit are Swaziland (both Prime Minister and Anglican Bishop of eSwatini dead from it), South Africa, Namibia (disappointed Nujoma survived), Zimbabwe (two government ministers dead), Burundi (likely Nkurunziza himself and former President Buyoya) and Ghana (former president Rawlings). Kenya and Tanzania seems to have been spared for now. Notable deaths are quite the only way to monitor the pandemic in those places, sadly death of common people is not really noted.
