A harsh denier of sexual abuse by priests, he is considered a reject even by his fellow clerics, like the late Henryk Gulbinowicz. Surely will be a good riddance. Choose your picks!

So, congrats again to the talented mr. Quim for his 1456th hit. VGE was a decent guy and politician, COVID could have chosen better from the list. Queen Elizabeth II advances to the top and there are now 5 survivors from 1926. Will she remain as the last one standing? Surely mr. Wade and mr. Jiang are tougher opponents than VGE... or maybe not. List to be updated and round to be started.

You spoiled my reserve pick. Strange, a 99-year old who has been on life support for a month and has not improved after tracheostomy, which was the last viable medical option should have been picked for sure.

    Advent Avalanche 2020

With all picks taken, here is a quick analysis before it's too late. Most likely to win: 1)Zafarullah Khan Jamali. On life support after heart attack, also left weak by COVID. Was prematurely announced dead, seems the most obvious winner. 2)Floyd Little. The pick everyone has to beat. Has been in hospice care for a week, could go any day. 3)Saleh Ajeery. In ICU with COVID-19 at 100 and with a plethora of health issues doesn't leave much to imagination. Still, no news in two days, likely stable for now. 4)Litsa Menounos: those tweets are worrying. Advanced glioblastoma, surely not long. 5)Divya Bhatnagar. Critical in ICU with COVID. Still, very young and should make it (but I won't be sure) 6)Rob Orkies. The less famous of them all, a common person with cancer and COVID-19. When, not if and will be very soon. A bit less likely: 1)Hubert Auriol: yes, critical in ICU with COVID, but is relatively young and no news in a week. Most people of his age manage to recover. Watch out anyway. 2)Ged Stokes. He is overdue with advanced cancer. Could be the great surprise. 3)Larry King. Improving, makes him less likely. 4)Tommy Lasorda. Improving, makes him less likely. Whale, Limbaugh, Smith could be winning picks too. The other will need lot of luck. Note that I got last MMDP prediction completely wrong, so expect Prince Philip to die tomorrow. Obvious pick who was not picked: won't say it now, as it could still be used as a reserve pick.

So many great picks around this year. It will be fast and brutal.

    The 100 Club

Despite many deaths, the number of living centenarians has increased this year. Some of the latest additions may have good staying power too. Chao is one of them, being mentally sharp as a razor at his age and looking about ten years younger.

Who Should Make The Deathlist In 2021?

Lot of possible picks. Yoko Ono must be on as she is in failing health. Gorbachev and Larry King will no doubt return. Rush Limbaugh is a guaranteed pick, Shannen Doherty very likely, Tom Parker does not feel very Deathlisty. James Whale could be an idea, though I can't understand how popular he is in the UK. I also suggest Bernard Cribbins as one of the last remaining British entertainers born in the late 20s (this and last year have taken so many!). Dilip Kumar is the (second) most famous living Indian actors and 99 is probably too much even for the seemingly immortal pal. Kenneth Kaunda could be a prosecution of good DL record with African desposts, though he is not particularly ill, alas very old. Pope Benedict will also return. Norman Lloyd could deserve a spot and is practically a dead cert (increasingly frail and old as dirt). Tommy Lasorda seems a good pick too. I strongly suggest Jiang Zemin, being one of the most iconic (not always in a positive sense) of the last 30 years and also being a living meme, whatever that means. Besides that, he is frail and very very overdue. I like when DL gets a bit international and he is surely a better pick than Akihito.

Maybe we are looking at the wrong Argentina manager, as Alejandro Sabella is currently in a serious condition with heart failure.

African Leaders - Despots and Democratic

Not surprising. Mahdi was not a simple politician, he descended from the original Madhi, who proclaimed himself as a Messiah for Islam, and Sadiq himself was considered (sort of) a prophet. He was overthrown twice, last time by Bashir. Madhi was a reformer, but his governments were characterized by internal disagreement and generalized corruption. An iconic figure in Sudan anyway.
