    Political Frailty

It is a coincidence. He was rushed to hospital at about 5:05 a. m. local time in a medical emergency. That's about midnight in Italy. I wrote the post yesterday morning, so twelve hours before the medical emergency. No cheating there, just the Reaper having fun. Sincerely I think he had a heart attack because he read the post (what an honour!), but I'm not suee about this. Now I have to choose another elderly Asian general and I already have some ideas...

Thoughts and opinions on the death list 2019

The sad truth is that the Deathlist won't last forever. Not the forums, those attract new members almost every year, but the DL himself as it is in the hand of a restricted bunch of people. And as everything which is managed by few people, it is destined to end with those people, not necessarily because they are dead, but maybe because they have simply lost interest. There was a site in Italy called "Il Morto del Mese". Every month you could vote your favourite celebrity who died durig the last 30 days. The site started about in 2008 and it published dozens of humorous obits, mainly of unknown people (to give you an example, Dumiso Dabengwa would have probably been there). But the site was managed by a very small bunch of people and as years passed number and quality of obits started to decrease. As there was a chat on the site many asked the curators to delegate writing obits to people willing (and there were many, it was a popular site), but they always refused. Someone sticked up for the admins. saying quality of the site would become lower enlarging the group of obit-writers. But it was clear the site was utterly dying. And on 13th October 2017 the site died. Barry Dennen was the last obit. No one has ever given explanations about what happened, not on the site, not on its Facebook page. And it has been decomposing for a year and a half. It's a matter of time, but the DL will meet the same end. That said, I think it will still hold some years.

    Political Frailty

I announce that after frantic research and tough decisions, I've picked a substitute of the late general Le Duc Anh as my perennial favourite. And the winner is... General Prem Tinsulanonda! Who was the good twin of evil Le Duc Anh, of course. Or maybe not so good? The general is dead, long live the general!

86 today! "Final speech" in 2007.... dick.
  17. He is stable now. But we knew and we know his time is limited. Still he is giving the Reaper a good run for his money. Hope your father gets better.
  18. He has suffered another hemorrhage and has received emergency surgery. Looks like it is the end after all. I'm so sorry we all thought he was getting better.
  19. Still in ICU, but according to the doctors he is improving and his life is not in immediate danger.
  20. My father has been hospitalized in critical conditions after suffering an internal hemorrhage which resulted in the loss of 1 litre of blood.
