Execution of Ri Yong-ho likely fake news.
-
That journalist is a critic of the Thai regime and has been spreading fake news for weeks. No Thai source corroborates his claims.

Another NYT preprint obit coming...
-
Elwood Hillis dead at 96.
-
NYT obit for Replansky.
-
@When The, here's Choe Yong-rim in 2022. As I said, he is very much respected and alive and don't worry about the obit.
-
Choe Yong-rim is very much alive, regarded as a war hero and appeared at ceremonies in 2022, although in a wheelchair. Adding that his daughter is the current minister of foreign affairs, he would get a big state funeral right now. And in any case I can't see his death going unnoticed.

Most of them may be dead. They just don't seem to get announcements. The same can be said about national team footballers. I really wish that regime of cunts comes to an end.

89-year old cardinal Geraldo Majella Agnelo not doing too well at the moment...
-
Shige Mineshiba finally dead at 113.
-
I imagine it went more or less this way: "Dear leader, Ri Yong-ho is asking to see you" "That cunt, why didn't we have him executed ten years ago? Execute him now!" "But... actually...dear leader...." "Actually what?" "Do you want him to be executed by antiaircraft gun or be or mauled by dogs?"

#8: Zhang Jinlin, aged 86.

If I recall correctly Bernard Kalb appeared as himself in Wag the Dog. I didn't laugh once during the whole movie.
-
Come on, @tracy, we all know you are the Hollywood Reporter, write down an obit. Also gently mention "her death comes a year after diplomat Ri Yong-ho was executed in North Korea", so we get two confirmations at the price of one.
-
That's a different Ri Yong-ho (this). The general was very likely killed in 2012.
-
I don't know how to do it. I find suspicious he added two different dates of death. I tipped Hollywood Reporter, Deadline and Variety on this. Nothing from them so far, but they could be just slow.
-
If he survives this he goes straight on the immortals list.
-
The IP who made the edits first wrote 6 January and then 4 January. Sincerely starting to doubt it.

In the wake of Pelé's and Vialli's deaths a QO for any barely notable footballer seems very facilitated...
-
Roberto Dinamite dead at 68. Kudos to those who picked him, I totally forgot.
-
I'm not so dumb. I was referring to the death rumors which placed him in hospital in Bejing, whereas he is in Shanghai.
-
Update on the Thai princess: still unconscious, being treated for a bacterial infection which caused the arrhytmia.

#7: Lu Xiyan, aged 94.

That's utter bullshit. Zhu Rongji is hospitalised in Shangai and would never be able to leave the hospital.
-
Keshari Nath Tripathi doing so better he's dead.
