Bill Braum, the founder of burger and ice cream joint Braum’s has died. I actually used to eat there a lot when I lived in Oklahoma, and while the burgers were meh the ice cream was very good. Ah well...

Bill Rieflin, current drummer for King Crimson is dead at 59. (Link in foreign language, but surely something better will come).

The death of the socialite does seem to be the last nail on the coffin for three matchups. So who picked her? Well, msc has opened up a 12 point lead against Bibliogryphon, and unfortunately it’s looking like Biblio will score 0 again. If only Freeman Dyson lived another 2 days. There’s also An Fear Beag taking a massive 10 point lead over AO Guy. He’s showing a really strong performance as a rookie, and might end up being rookie of the year like Heef, Sir Creep, and Banana* did the past three years. Speaking of Banana, he’s the third person to pick Serena Liu, taking a surprisingly lopsided 9 point lead against lead. Really, this is turning into the round of upsets as it’s not just those rounds with surprising results... *Yeah, Boudicca technically went farther than Banana, but let’s be honest. Banana had a much stronger performance throughout the entire cup whereas Boudicca only won two of her rounds via a fluke... I never said that. I’m just noting since last time I sent it to msc that I can’t send it in to him. Maybe my phrasing was off...

It’s a couple of days later than it should’ve been (my bad), but I’ve sent in a team to Wilz since if I survive I’m likely against msc, and as such cup entries can now be sent in to me.

Rand Paul, libertarian leaning senator got diagnosed with coronavirus

I believe the rule is always up to 25 names dying, which allows for less than 25 to be carried over. Which I believe actually happened a couple of times even without more than 25 deaths...

JAVIER PEREZ DE CUELLAR DIES 7/50 4th March 2020 Javier Perez de Cuellar was a... um... uh... ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ... (He did succeed a Nazi as UN secretary general and he did win a Nobel Peace Prize, so uh, not so dull after all? Anyways, forum popularity got him a much higher spot than last time, jumping to number 12...)

DEATHS OF GLORY 6/50 5th February 2020 One of the last surviving Golden Age of Hollywood actors and Deathlist legend Kirk Douglas has died at the ripe old age of 103 to provide the list with it's 6th success. Born as Issur Danielovitch, he changed his name to Kirk Douglas before joining the Navy in World War 2. After he got medically discharged in 1944, he began his acting career with a stage performance for Kiss and Tell, which allowed him to perform in other acting roles. Making his Hollywood debut in 1946's The Strange Love of Martha Ivers, he slowly began to become one of the leading men in Hollywood, starring besides leading actresses at the time such as Lauren Bacall and Doris Day. His legacy was further cemented with him starring in some of the most acclaimed films of all like Billy Wilder's Ace In The Hole, Walt Disney's 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, and Stanley Kubrick's Paths of Glory, the latter of which kickstarted Kubrick's career. Douglas's favorite film he performed in, however, was the Dalton Trumbo penned Lonely Are The Brave. In his personal life he was married to Anne Buydens for over 65 years and was the biggest couple to make it to their centenary while alive, and he also fathered Michael Douglas, a well respected actor in his own right. He suffered many near death experiences in his life, being nearly killed in a helicopter crash in 1991, and five years later suffering a near fatal stroke. However, fate would allow him to survive over 20 more years and become a legend to the deathlist community. He was making his second appearance at number one in what was his 5th appearance on the crowdsource list overall...

Best Historic Dl Forum Threads
Joey Russ replied to Spade_Cooley's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Just stumbled onto Humphrey Bogart's Wikipedia page, and reading it, surely he'd be a top dead pooling name in 1957, right? His thread certainly would've been a great read, that's for sure. Hears looking at you kid... -
Dude, I didn’t even start the crowdsource list originally. And the dead pooling names who made the list were all mentioned on the forums a lot. They weren’t secrets at all.

Hm, probably around 3 to 4 million tbh...

We have our first US Congressperson to test positive for the virus. Mario Diaz Balart, to be precise

In the US I’m pretty sure there are many unreported new diagnosis of COVID-19, and many people are predicting that the disease hasn’t peaked in the US. So yeah, this is far from over (plus it’s only morning in the US, so numbers could increase more)...

Ah, but it isn’t just English that counts. ”Also Le Monde, Le Figaro, Der Spiegel, Die Zeit, El Pais and El Mundo” So far looks like he hasn’t reached any of those sources, but if he does get there, you might want to rue your luck...

Who will win the Democratic Nomination for President in 2020?
Joey Russ replied to Joey Russ's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
DNC doesn’t care about the wellbeing of voters... -
I’m a bit more cautious. Sure, there’s a lot of low hanging fruit but there’s really only a few names (Trebek, Tom Smith, probably Prince Philip) that you can call to be locks for the list. Still, if enough of the frail but not cert folk do end up dying, it could easily be record breaking imo...

Richard Hanna, one of the “moderate” house republicans who got replaced by a more conservative representative has died at 69

Well, two interesting updates for some matches. First, Jiroemon has been able to extend his lead in his tie because of Patil Puttappa. A unique which lends him a 7 point advantage against Skinny. Jiroemon is really showing why he could be one of the favorites in the cup after a 2 year hiatus. Secondly, there’s Suzy Delair, who is a unique for DeathByArsenic! Now he’s leading by 4 points against theoldlady, and boy are the matches becoming more and more interesting for the second half of the month...
