EMMERDEAD 14/50 16th October 2019 Former Emmerdale actress and forum favorite Leah Bracknell has died after a long cancer bout in order to become the 14th reported death of the year. Early in her career she appeared in the show The Chiffy Kids in 1976, which was directed by her father David Bracknell. It was Emmerdale, however, where she really left her impact at. She played Zoe Tate, a vet and land owner who was much more well known as one of the first prominent lesbian characters in a soap opera. She was fairly popular on the show and her tenure in Emmerdale lasted 16 years, eventually leaving the show in 2005 and the British Soap Award for Best Exit the following year. In recent years her popularity once again shot up really highly, this time due to the fact that she was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in 2016. Never leaving the top 2 in the crowdsource list she was arguably the most popular pick overall to date, though with any long cancer lingerer, the thought of fraud goes inside people's head. However, her death does bring the crowdsource list on level with every other year thus far apart from 2017, with still two and a half months left to go...
