He transferred to the Rangers from the Dutch team AZ Alkmaar in 2000 for a the price of 3.75 million pounds. His Rangers career didn't start out easy: he eventually had to be substituted after 21 minutes against Bobby Petta, and he got a five game ban for a Kung fu style kick on Darren Young. He eventually had won awards such as two Scottish Premier League titles, two Scottish Cups, and 3 Scottish league cup, and he was eventually inducted into the Rangers hall of fame. Despite this, he still did plenty of controversial things throughout his career, making him a decisive figure among football fans. He was diagnosed with ALS in 2013, and recent downturns secured him a spot on the list for the past two years. This is his 3rd appearance on the list, jumping all the way to the 9th spot on the list.
