24 hours after saying that controversial statement of believing Putin over the US intelligence agencies, he claims that he misspoke at the summit. That fucker.

Could it be that he meant to pick Gerry Marengo by chance? Too bad, he died in 2016.

It was A Pelican In The Wilderness who picked him, and the Pelican always got a fascinating lineup...

Tiger Woods is another example. He won the 2008 US Open on with a broken leg and a torn ALC.

He criticized the Trump Putin summit today:

I had another look at the teams, and after looking at ...Norfolk and Good’s squad, since one of their picks Sophie Smith went missing before the new year, isn’t that an illegal pick since no MIA’s are allowed or am I missing something? (Surprised no one else noticed this until now)...

Aye, last time that happened was back in 2011 with basically 5 months between the deaths of Betty Ford and Harry Morgan.

*checks outside* Nope, still hot as hell here...

They also both denied Russian interference in the 2016 and Putin says he’s “willing to cooperate” with Mueller on the investigation. Yeah right, and I’m Barack Obama...

Yep, he’s dead. One of those shortlist names that goes very quickly...

Lol, this shows how dumb some of the conservative politicians really are by falling for Sacha Baron Cohen’s new comedy sketch.

Yeah, he would be such a classy DDP pick if he makes 2019. But there’s no chance of that happening...

Since 2003, I wonder how many deathlist picks from the same year were also on the winning DDP team? Obviously 20 will never be topped with the deathlist winning it in 2004 and it's very unlikely that it would get equaled as well, but this is what I found while doing research for that (I might have missed one or two, so let me know if I left out someone): 2003: 3 picks (Biggs, Sheene, Zevon) 2004: 20 picks (Alice, Biggs, Brady, Cartier-Bresson, Cooke, Dangerfeild, Foot, Gallo, Hoffman, John Paul, Laine, Lauder, Levi-Strauss, Mills, Reagan, Schmeling, Shaw, Ustinov, Wiesenthal, Wray) 2005: 5 picks (Astor, John Paul, Maradona, Rehnquist, Schmeling) 2006: 6 picks (Biggs, Graham, Haughey, Kunitz, Pinter, Rawls) 2007: 5 picks (Bakker Messner, Kevorkian, Melly, Shamir, Sharon) 2008: 2 picks (Pollack, Robson) 2009: 12 picks (Al Megrahi, Atkins, Ballesteros, Castro, Ford, Graham, Kennedy, Llewellyn, Novak, Richard, Robson, Swayze) 2010: 5 picks (Al Megrahi, Hopper, MacCorkindale, Shamir, Wisdom) 2011: 2 picks (Franklin, Wynne Jones) 2012: 4 picks (Al Megrahi, Gibb, James, Mandela) 2013: 4 picks (Cecil, Kalashnikov, Mandela, Presley) 2014: 5 picks (Graham, Harper, Johnson, Kasem, Simon) 2015: 2 picks (Crowe, Simon) 2016: 1 pick (Crowe) 2017: 6 picks (Bracknell, Christie, Downie, Forsyth, Michael, van der Westhuizen) 2018: 3 picks (Bracknell, McCain, Nolan) 2019: 3 picks (Bracknell, Clegg, James)

After the indictment of 12 Russian hackers yesterday, it looks as though Roger Stone might be the next indictment in this investigation.

What about the two members of Jefferson Airplane in 2016? EDIT: Same day of death, different birthdays. Same year though...

Would this be included in the Dead pool hall of fame or is this just going to be a random game not included (since it’s not focused on dead pooling)... -
Well, that’s the rock and roll lifestyle for you then...

Sometimes I think everyone gets a feeling that they feel like they fucked up somewhere along the way that had a negative impact on somebody on someone you truly care about and there’s nothing you can do about it. I feel that I had one of these moments very recently, and it really feels painful especially because all that I can do is guess on what actually happened. -
Just discovered that Dick Quax, who died a few months back, was picked in 2017.

Wow, that’s the sitting representative in my district. She was one of the good guys in the Oklahoma congress too. That said, I personally felt that Mary Boren is the better candidate between the two of them in the democratic race and I hope that she’s able to beat the republican candidate in that district, but nonetheless, it’s still a sad loss.

I understand leaving out the Joker’s Pool since we don’t know if anyone else wants to host it next year, but you ought to put the Crowdsource list on there.

I think there’s a thread for that already:
