I’m in the Alt Obits Facebook group, and the person who ran it before the current host said she would’ve excluded her if she was running this. I would’ve shocked if she was excluded tbh, more shocked than I was when Francis and Goodwin were excluded...

Surprisingly, Gerard didn’t have her on his list...

The Rolling Probabilistic Ddp Scoreboard
Joey Russ replied to gcreptile's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Tessa Jowell is the first big major contenders hit since Vanessa Goodwin. I mean, there was Emma Hannigan, Efrain Montt, Jacqui Forster, and Emily Kendrick, but all of those were unique pick, while Jowell was on a bunch of contending teams... -
Wineland actually has her own Wikipedia page and still has news coverage elsewhere, so she’s probably the most likely of the four to receive a qualifying obit. Burcaw received some Telegraph coverage back in 2015, so while he’s very unlikely to receive a follow up, it’s not entirely implausible. I would be surprised if the other two received a qualifying obit though...

There is a thread for that:

Do you really need to post that after every single hit? It’s one thing if you do this exercise every few hits cause we can see more of a change for the potential 2019 list, but seeing almost the exact same list after every single hit is becoming more and more dull.

Pretty sure John McCain isn’t poor, as he has lots of money...
-
Nope, not one for June. Next!
-
I’m not sure how the general public of the UK feels about her legacy, but at the very least, her role in securing the Summer Olympics for 2012 will always be significant...

We’re at number 5. Will we ever get ahead of the deathlist this year?
-
Well, apart from Tessa Jowell apparently...
-
Tessa Jowell is a hit for many of us. If I had to guess, Kirshner probably chose her as well.

Jumping on the McCain train...

I know I already made a poll for this back in January, but I feel as since then the competition field has shifted since then. New teams that weren’t on the last poll has become contenders while a few teams probably won’t win. This time, I included the current top ten plus the most recent members of the top ten in gcreptile’s exercise and a few others that I think still has a chance. Recently, I think Pity Da Foolz team looks a lot stronger than he did back in January, so I’m going to choose him.

I went for Bush Sr this week.
-
Er, no, I don’t think so...

Many of these aren’t really on the clock yet. Apart from Bishop Quinn, all of these could still last a while. I know there was that Ricksen update, but he denied being near death and is still in nearly the same state as he was a while ago.

Him, McCain (though he seems to be getting a bit better, for now at least), Cappotelli, Total Biscuit, Butts, Stefansson, Nawaz, and others I’m probably forgetting right now. Surely one of them has to go soon...
-
Er, Spade already announced he would in this thread:

Think I just found my first very likely 2019 cult name today, barring their death or someone mentioning them of course. I mean, there’s a few names on my longlist that could be a cult name, but I can’t really a lot others rejecting this person, especially with the drop 40 reduction next year...
-
Not to take the celebration of the two of you, but The Dead Cow also picked him for this, only he’s second on his list...
-
Well then, here’s a strong pick for June for all the cup players still in the cup (and Maryport’s pool as well). Mind you, I now wonder who Creep’s mayor was...
-
The Carl Perkins I assumed that you were talking about has died.
-
After you said it wasn't the Rochester mayor, I assumed you were talking about Aurora mayor Steve Hogan. Well, looks like he might not see June, as he has now entered hospice care.
