Tbh, I don’t think that my team is going to be that good for round 2 when I finish preparing it. I have been quite busy for the past week doing things, and when I do have time to research, I got nothing thus far...

Hm. Jose Jose sure thing. Stefansson very likely, but he’s only worth 40 points, so it wouldn’t help me too much. Gilbert, Bush, and Bracknell iffy. Unsure about Littlefeather. Sampras won’t die (not sure why I considered him at all). Most likely threats for me are Goodwin, Mack, and Francis imo (he closed his gofundme page, not really the best sign)...

As much as I would’ve liked a recovery to happen, that was never going to be the case with him. Was originally diagnosed as pancreatic cancer, had an operation in starting that month and went into full remission in February. Returned 3 months later as bile duct cancer, and looked like he had weeks to live. Then it went into “remission” according to tabloids, but as I mentioned in the thread, that was misleading only the metastasis was gone. He had also said that he wouldn’t do chemo when it does eventually return. He had an operable tumor at his liver in early November (it’s on his YouTube channel), and another scan in late November only to get an all clear. So his history of cancer was building up. It would’ve been a miracle if his cancer went into remission permanently (and personally I wouldn’t have mind that), but that was sadly never going to be the case...

I’m quite saddened by this, but unfortunately it was inevitable. Seemed like a really great guy too despite being best known as a villain...

An odd mistake I noticed, any reason why camera operator David Smith is at the bottom of the O page? EDIT: Actually, I think I might have an idea on how it’s placed there, but I’m not sure why that it’s a bug...

Acclaimed African filmmaker Idrissa Ouedraogo has died aged 64... -
Nah, the third hit would’ve been Billy Graham.
-
And now his son follows...

Apparently the white patches around eyes are called leucoderma. It doesn’t appear to be life threatening despite it’s weird appearance according to the article I read. It’s this one for those interested...

I think the search box requires at least four letters for it to look something up. Otherwise, you get nothing...

Imo, there’s nothing wrong with asking a QO to write an obit. The thing is, they don’t have to listen to your request for an obit, so it’s not like an obit will definitely happen if you ask a publication for an obit...
-
While I wouldn’t be mad if he obitted, I’ll admit, I‘d be very annoyed if Pete was the author of the Toothill obit...
-
Not really asking for a name change or anything, but msc's sub header under his name is quite amusing.
-
Tbh, a part of me hopes that he gets the obit anyways despite knowing the fact that it would push me back on the DDP leaderboard...

The Fringes Of Fame/family Of The Famous
Joey Russ replied to maryportfuncity's topic in DeathList Forum
I thought that he already was in remission last year, hence why none of the major DDP teams went for him... -
A part of me does wants to be slightly sneaky, and doesn't want him to make it to round two so less people have an advantage. Of course, that's more because I chose him for round one than not wanting a freebie for everyone...
-
I thought he already had his own thread, though I can't find anything when looking him up...

Well, school just got cancelled for tomorrow as well. The annoying thing is that the event that I am helping run on Friday might not happen this year...

Even Zsa Zsa isn't most selected celebrity in history (of who have died at least). Because of a huge amount of selections in the mid 2000 due to a health scare, Fidel Castro got on 1709 teams before he died the same year as Zsa Zsa. But I think the most selected celeb in the DDP was Ms Thatcher. Appeared on a whopping 1766 teams from 2003 to 2013, and that's with her living three years less than both Castro and Zsa Zsa...

Yeah, I think he's more likely to survive the year than not, hence why he's not on my main squad. He definitely is one of the more interesting names I knew about from my research, so because of his fascinating story, he went in my B Team...

I just remember that I started this thread. Oh, the irony of the above comment though. 2016: James, Prince Phillip, de Havilland, Carter, Douglas, Bush, Lynn, Wouk, Norden, Harper, Phillips, Hawking, Redstone, Mugabe, Gorbachev, Tutu, O'Connor, Benedict, St John, Scales, Dole, Ricksen, Stiles (22/50) 2017: Bracknell, Douglas, Prince Phillip, Mugabe. Chirac, Tutu, Bush, de Havilland, Phillips, Benedict, Lynn, Carter, Johns, James, Lollobrigida, Wouk, Stefansson, Queen Elizabeth, Poitier, Norden, St John, Redstone, Gorbachev, Woodward, Viitti, Gascoine, Fabray (27/50) Updated for Billy Graham.

Since it is coming to to a new year very soon, and it's been 2 years since it's inception, I've decided to make a thread to keep track of the survivors from the crowdsource lists from the past. Here is the current surviving lot: 2016: Graham, James, Prince Phillip, de Havilland, Carter, Douglas, Bush, Lynn, Wouk, Norden, Harper, Phillips, Hawking, Redstone, Mugabe, Gorbachev, Tutu, O'Connor, Benedict, St John, Scales, Dole, Ricksen, Stiles (23/50) 2017: Bracknell, Douglas, Prince Phillip, Graham, Mugabe. Chirac, Tutu, Bush, de Havilland, Phillips, Benedict, Lynn, Carter, Johns, James, Lollobrigida, Wouk, Stefansson, Queen Elizabeth, Poitier, Norden, St John, Redstone, Gorbachev, Woodward, Viitti, Gascoine, Fabray (28/50) I think I can predict who will be the last survivor of the 2016 list, but 2017 is definitely harder to guess. Anyways, I thought it was good idea to count down the survivors off of each list...

So he has one of the more treatable stage four cancers then. Thinking he may last another year or two. Although, I'm not 100% certain he'd get an QO obit if he goes this year. The only coverage he received is from a non QO BBC source...
