Colin Meads did that. It didn’t really go that well for him though...

The Cardinals Of The Roman Catholic Church

I’m totally not mindlessly removing him from my deathrace team, honest. -
10 days till this closes. I'm certain that this will be another amazing year no matter how many people join, but I would like to see a lot of the newcomers to participate in this next year. Or, you could be like me and wait to submit until the last possible moment. Of course, it lead to Maryport's inbox to be completely clogged last time...

So How's Your 2018 Shortlist Looking?
Joey Russ replied to Joey Russ's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Yeah, there was at least one name that probably would've been close to a lock had the local obits been allowed once again... -
Was there something I missed, cause I'm looking back on her and I'm not finding anything for her...
-
I didn’t realize she played the first openly lesbian character in soap, which makes her even more significant than I thought she was...
-
Hadn't even considered him for shortlist material either. Well, sword swallowers are a rarity, so maybe I shouldn't be that surprised...

Once again I didn't put a lot of thought into this, and I sent it to YoungWilz as of now. I do have a name or two, however, that are names that are unknown to the casual player, so no chance of me revealing the list publicly before New Year's Day this time around...

Have about 35 of the names chosen for this. I'm purposely leaving the last 15 open so potential new names that show up the last two have room to be on my team...

Any idea on how many teams have entered so far?

Hold on a minute. Maybe she’s not cured of cancer. I don’t know what to believe at this point...

If I had to guess on who they will keep (and not who I think they should keep): The on till they drop squad cause of age and number of appearances: 1. Kirk Douglas 2. Vera Lynn 3. Billy Graham 4. Peter Carrington 5. Prince Phillip 6. Denis Norden 7. Stan Lee 8. Olivia de Haviland 9. Herman Wouk 10. Bob Dole 11. Leslie Phillips 12. Robert Mugabe 13. Javier Perez de Cuellar 14. George H W Bush Additionally, three more people are going to stay due to there health woes: 15. Leah Bracknell 16. Nobby Stiles 17. Valerie Harper Which leads 8 spots open. I think Carter, The Pope, and the Queen will stay on the list till they drop cause of the level of fame they have achieved, (and the pope seems ill as well). As for the remaining 5, if I had to take a guess, they probably will keep Betty White due to her age and iconic status, Pierre Cardin seems to be a cult pick that will be on till they drop as well as Doug Ellis, and then I think the last two will be Jill Gascoine and David Prowse. The last two are somewhat wishful thinking as both of them definitely have some health issues, but I think both of them are well known enough to the committee eyes that I think they may stay on...

They’ve done that in the past with 2015 iirc and another year. Although with the batch of people who are still alive, I honestly find it hard to see them not keep less than 25...

A woman gets to marry her lover before she dies. A little bit of a spin on the typical cancer mum XYZ marries her husband before she dies, especially since she's part of the first lesbian couples married in Australia...

I expect him to come back, er, in about 2 days now so he can confirm he continued his 150 post per year gag...

Why are so many people so keen on keeping Bob Barker? The only thing that happened were bullshit National Enquirer news, he shouldn't stay on for next year...
-
Well, there’s Willie Nelson for one thing...

Live from the Grim Reaper, it’s Chris Farley death at the age of 33, 20 years ago today.

Now I'm starting to slowly craft a Deathrace team with the hope of winning. Trying to have a team with only a few people crossing over to the DDP as well this year. Expect my team to come in on either the 29th or 30th of December...

I'm just saying, if he sees the first day of high school for me next year, I would be surprised...

So How's Your 2018 Shortlist Looking?
Joey Russ replied to Joey Russ's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
So, I'm trying to look at a person who is very likely not older than 45, but I'm trying to find their birthdate to confirm my suspicion. I did research in a lot of places, and do you know what I got out of it? The day and the month of their birthday, but no year. Kind of frustrated right now... -
Is there a reason that whenever someone with an apostrophe in their name likes a post, it shows up like this?

It was Martin Crowe last year actually.

Surprised no one mentioned Willie Nelson yet, especially with the multiple bouts of health issues he has faced over the last year and even a death hoax happening.
