I'm in the belief that unless they are notable for something other than being famous for being a family member, they shouldn't be allowed on the deathlist. Only exceptions is when it's something like the Kennedy's or a wife of a Prime Minister or something like that, which McCain doesn't reach those levels imo...

I see a bunch of mentions of her elsewhere, but I see no mention of June Whitfield in this thread at all. So, she got mentioned now.

I don't doubt that she at least was somewhat ill, cause like Sean said, she does look a bit frail. But I suspect the illness was much more stage 2 cancer than the stage 3 and beyond type cancer...

That joke does seem a little disturbing imo, and it put some images in my head that I would rather not see...

I know it's been a couple of weeks since the news came out, but he's been on a Christmas farewell tour. It does sound slightly ominous that he's on a farewell tour...

I had another look at my shortlist, and I feel that there's definitely something missing from it. 10 locks at the moment, but when I start going through the 50/50 people and trying to separate them from main team to B Team, it'll be very challenging...

Yeah, but I don't think the deathlist do one hit wonders unless they had a very significant impact elsewhere. Hence why the likes of Peter Sarstedt and Peter Skellern didn't make it.

I suspect some of the hatred are some people who have a hate on anything that has the republican tag on it just like lots of Trump supporters hate anything with a democrat tag on it. For me personally, I agree with both of you that while McCain isn’t perfect, he still is a very well mannered individual that will receive all the respect from me. While I am democrat, I try to look at both sides of the issue before expressing my true opinion and understanding why people believe certain things in certain ways...
