A humanitarian Ukrainian thread
Joey Russ replied to Paul Bearer's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Well what would you do if you were in a war you didn’t want to fight? Would you suck it up and fight or would you run away like the coward you are every time you’ve been confronted on this forum? Given you probably spend your entire day lazing on your ass in a very comfortable position instead of actually doing some basic ass thinking of the situation at hand you are not even remotely qualified to judge this situation. You fucking cunt -
Yeah, so I wasn’t the only one to sneak Tek on since 2019. Bugger
-
Not a QO but he did get a CNN obit so he might get something
-
What’s that? You’re telling everyone to like the Don Young post now? On it!
-
Ah, can’t believe that it’s true that he died.
-
Been a long while since the last update. Only was in here to check up my roster after Vic Elford
-
Decided to give him a thread since he has terminal prostate cancer. Maybe not the best pick for next year, but he's definitely one to watch. Definitely can see him on the deathlist if the cancer gets worse... EDIT: Here's the article that mentions his illness.
-
Believe he went into remission around 9 months ago or so
-
Almost like the only reason he got famous was because of the procedure and not cause of anything else. This isn’t even the first time someone got an animal heart, just the first time someone got a heart of a pig (Also I extremely doubt that any of the other folk you mention would qualify)
-
Damn, how could anybody has seen that getting an animal’s heart isn’t a good sign of longevity
-
I do note that some glio cases can take even longer. Look at what happened to Chris Doleman, eventually he spent nearly a year wheelchair bound. So not a lock for this year, but clearly a deterioration from a few months earlier. In some ways you do hope it takes quicker so he doesn’t have to suffer as long as others did.
-
That’d be because he’s a football player for the Harambee Stars. Weird there’s no mention of that in his obituary though

Cricket Thread. Only Mad Dogs And Englishmen
Joey Russ replied to The Four Horsemen's topic in DeathList Forum
He’s currently number 4 on Twitter for me, which given how people in the United States don’t really know what cricket is really shows how big of a name he was -
I quit considering him after a colleague of his died without a QO. So if he gets one it’ll be a bit annoying
-
I note that two of them haven’t logged on since February 20th so might be good for some of the losers to submit something…
-
Funny, I was thinking the exact same thing about your team. (I’m also in, so good luck to you)
-
With all the horror going on in Ukraine right now let’s take a moment to laugh at how badly this stupid congressman got owned. I mean, imagine getting owned by the dictionary.
-
Not really seeing anything that would count as a QO although maybe I’m not looking hard enough
-
With the recent demise of Marietta Giannakou I believe it’s just Leslie Phillips and Pope Benedict still alive from the original 21
-
Bringing this over to the cup, believe this would put me at 18 points in my unneeded cup team. What could’ve been…

-
Are you saying it’s only tragic if celebs die? That statement was a bit poorly worded of a statement imo
-
I sure hope he enjoys the audience full of empty chairs and candles.

Honestly I think she hits all the fame grounds (although like Gary Burgess I’d probably err against being shadowlist picks), even before her cancer she released a few EPS and contributed music to a documentary on Leonard Knight. All of this even before her cancer came about. Even under the strictest FFBI rules she would pass although by no means a household name
-
A few years ago I would’ve said she was a cert to obit but the cuts in specialty obits recently put some doubt on my mind. Still, if she ends up obitting kudos to those who picked her.
