I direct you to YoungWilz post from the same comment on this same page... I admit I over did it, but this time I felt it was very appropriate. Though I suspect it's more bias and less on me actually doing it, cause you didn't have a problem when other people was doing it before...

I’m sorry, but Carrington is the last surviving major cabinet from Ted Heath’s time as prime minister, Jill Gascoine is an actress who is very well known in the UK, and King Michael is the last surviving world leaders in the interwar period and one of the last surviving leaders from WW2. Hm. All three of these plus Downie has an argument to be made of being notable...

I’m assuming not a lot of people had Gord Downie on their team. Anyhow, bad luck to the teams who thought he would survive the year out...

Well, we now know 14 deaths isn’t the max number of deaths a list can have. The bigger question is how far the list can go...

People I Was Surprised To Find Are Still Alive
Joey Russ replied to Catherine's topic in DeathList Forum
Doing some random research not relating to dead pooling, I was surprised to find out that the original drummer of The Who (ie before Keith Moon) is still alive. His name is Doug Sandom and he’s currently a whopping 87 years of age. Not sure if he’s obitable for the DDP, but he could potentially be a good pick on one of the dead pools that have more lenient obit rules... -

Phillips has his fair share of health issues, so I would honestly keep him next year. That, and there’s nothing wrong with some British culture that I may not recognize immediately. That’s one of the better part for the deathlist imo. -

I would assume Vera Lynn and Fats Domino are undroppable as well due to the amount of appearances, their level of fame, and, at least in the case of Vera Lynn, age... -

I think until he cancel some future events, he'll make the starting line. Just my opinion of course...

Ah, but he had pancreatic cancer and he was diagnosed with cancer in January of that year I think? McCain was diagnosed in July, so he’s more likely to make the starting imo.
