August is dying down I think. The only person so far who got an obit for next update is a death from July, and the other ones are looking like list of the lost folk, though I did honestly think that Bea Wain would get a telegraph obit by now...

I would not have guessed that. -

Damn, August is turning into an absolutely brutal month...

That's slightly relieving then. It shows that he might come back someday.

Shall we spam this thread every day like rockhopper and Deathray did to Queen Elizabeth for over a month until he's dead?

I think he has a higher chance of making 2018 then he did 3 months ago, since he's preparing for a 2018 tour.

I think it's more than the Russia investigation on why I think Trump is likely to be impeached (though not necessarily removed from office). His behavior has always been unpresidential and immature, but I felt like the past few weeks has really proved how unqualified Trump is as president. Not condemning the Charlottesville attack for almost a full week has many Republicans angry at Trump, even some of them who were supportive of him in the election. That could be a motive to impeach him. But two actions yesterday had lots of criticism from many politicians: the pardoning of Joe Arpaio, and revealing his guidelines for his transgender ban from serving in military. I think, for the past three weeks, that's pretty significant. And about the Russia investigation, there is probably stuff going on that is classified information that we don't know about. The senate clearly knew something was up when they almost unanimously (only Sanders and Rand Paul voted against it for different reasons) voted on a bill that put sanctions on Russia and limit Trump's on easing sanctions with Moscow. So, I think that Trump is increasingly becoming more dangerous, imo, than I honestly would've thought. I originally thought that he was just a discriminating person who was able to gather up supporters for different reasons, but throughout his presidency, I am slowly starting to get more afraid of him. It's also starting to become clear that a lot of the senate republicans are different than Trump, though he still has his supporters in the senate. So, I think his impeachment, which doesn't necessarily mean removal from office, isn't a matter of if anymore, but when...

Can Shaun remind drol that he needs to replace Jacque Fresco with two more picks?

I think some of it is probably wishful thinking on my part, but because of the ongoing Russia investigation, and Trump continuing to be as unpresidential as he usually is has made some of the republican senators more critical of Trump. And remember, just because someone gets impeached doesn't necessarily mean that they get removed from office, so keep that in mind when I say someone will get impeached...

The real question is how is Jonathan Richman doing right now...

I have my doubts on McConnell stepping down at the moment. It needs to have more mess ups in order for him to actually step down as majority leader.

Yeah, I also forgot names such as Skellern and Hewlett, which would've made my score higher had I remembered them, so, it's all fun and games in the end.

Well, I think in many ways, a team could enter today and still do well because they have the benefit of picking names that weren't known a while back. I got that advantage especially with the baby boomers. Wetton, Gill and Allman were all good picks after the period in late July early August. But people who join later also has to deal with not being able to choose certain picks. By joining later, I was unable to pick Vera Caslavka and Sharon Jones. And you also have to deal with picks that you would've chosen if they were announced when you started. Because of this, I can't choose Johnny Hallyday, John McCain, and Rayya Elias unless I want to add a name to the list (which, I might do, but probably won't in the end). I think some of my guesses were just pure luck. Fidel Castro was a gut feeling and he was dead by the weekend after I joined. Jerry Lewis was by no means a good pick at the time. I think I put him in cause I was trying to finish my team to make it 20. Then his hospital stay happened, and then he died and became my 20th hit. So I think some luck is involved with it as well...

I'm only 10 hits behind you at the moment. I think I still have lots of good picks on there, but I think there enough poor picks on there that I won't be able to push past you.

Sorry, I was trying to direct that to theoldlady on her actual age, I didn't mean to quote your post. But you definitely made your point very clear.

I'm starting to think that Trump will have to face impeachment soon. But I still think that's about 6 months away. There just needs to be more stuff happening in order for Trump to actually be impeached and removed from office...
