Whom Are You Tarring With The Epithet "twunt"?

Congrats to @Phantom of the Midway for making his 2000th post. -
She's still very optimistic. I think she could last till 2018 still...
-
That's a pretty big prediction for 2018 considering it's only 2017...
-
I feel like 2017 is a creeper. Instead of the deaths happening in waves at certain points of the year, it instead slowly comes and bites you as the year goes by...

Wonder if the new host is going to have to ban deaths by nuclear weapons if it gets anymore tense between the US and North Korea. Still, I think North Korea is still playing a game, but Trump isn't really making the situation better...

Judge for yourselves...

Pretty sure this counts for Bryan Murray. Someone had him here...

Bryan Murray? He was a legendary coach in hockey...

Crazy idea, I know, but does anyone think that the Advent Avalanche could break the 100 point mark at this point, since half of that team is dead already? Though apart from King Michael, I don't think there are any topplers likely to die and obit at this point, so I still think it's unlikely...

I believe that leaves Thomas Jefferson Survives 2015 team to 3 survivors, Beitzel, Odjick, and Qaboos of Oman.

I know which Pat I would vote for if I had to choose one...

Ooh look, birds.

Not gonna lie, it feels a lot more tense now than it did 2 months ago. At the moment, I'm currently leading by 300 points, and I could expand it more, as I have a certain amount of totterers on my team who could go at any moment. However, I recognize that the other teams behind me also have totterers that could go and take my lead away at any moment. Sir Creep in particular I'm worried about at the moment, because his joker could push me out of the lead at some point. I stand by my belief that while I probably will be in the top 5 in the end, I don't think I'll become the eventual winner. But nonetheless, I know that this'll be an amazing performance in my debut year, especially since my team was kind of half assed to begin with...

Even more of a legend than this guy?
-
True, but even if they haven't looked at a comic, I would suspect at least 7 out of 10 people who haven't touched a comic, if not more, would've still at least heard of Stan Lee in some way, shape, or form. And without those people, he still has a following massive enough to guarantee massive news. Not the news coverage like Bowie or Jackson was, but I wouldn't be surprised if he had more news coverage than Prince, for example. Leonard Nimoy was a hit 2 years back, and I'm pretty sure a certain amount of the population has never seen a Star Trek film, yet, he still got a lot of news coverage at his death...
-
Maybe he should've clarified that to anyone between the ages 5 - 15...
-
Yes, because they are always a reliable source.

I think one can argue that Stan Lee only had a major impact on two generations: The Baby Boomers in the 1960s, and the millenials onwards with the introduction of the mcu. But if he dies and he wasn't on the list, you'll certainly hear the majority of the millennials (maybe not the baby boomers as there doesn't seem to be a lot on here) complaining about why he wasn't on the list cause he's still very relevant in their world today.

Actually, there were some health issues with Rickles iirc before his death, but the others are good examples. It could happen to anyone anytime, so it's never should be shocking for a nonagenarian to die at some point.
-
A very healthy celebrity who were old and healthy at the time can go very quickly anytime. Christopher Lee and Chuck Berry immediately come into mind.
-
Stan Lee has a huge cultural impact that is still very relevant today that Kissinger and Mugabe don't have. That why he is way too big to miss...

You never know. The world's oldest person might prove to be the decisive pick for the person who wins the DDP in 2037. They may not be entirely pointless...

Oh, her cancer could come back, but she should be safe for now...
