Just noticed that the Advent Avalanche team I sent to TMIB is only two points behind DDT's team. That team is doing surprisingly well, I think it could be a top 30 placer in the end.

Now, are you retiring from competing Spade, are you competing in a lesser limelight, or still will be the same dominant giant you have been?

One question, does that mean themaninblack will still compete (regular or theme team) in the DDP, or is he going to leave the DDP limelight for good? I'm absolutely ok with either decision he makes.

About some of the picks you mentioned: Catherine Nevin: may be a fraud. She had a week to live like, 3 months ago I think. And she's still living as far as I can tell. Patrick Cryne: There's no doubt that he's terminally ill, but the bigger thing is that he never said what his life expectancy was. It could potentially reach past the one year mark. The same thing is can be said about Laurie Brokenshire as well. Now Bradley is a bad pick, cause he's on a tour last time I checked, but it's not impossible. I will get to a team analysis on why others aren't likely to make the top 5 (it's not impossible, but it's certainly more likely than not).

Wonder if there should a dead pool where you guess who's gonna die in the top 50. I'm thinking of like a ranking of putting down a list from 1-50 and points given based on the position of the person. In fact, there could be a test run, as there are exactly 40 candidates left. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Believe it's a three way tie with 3 hits per person, me, you, and Drol. Chorizo has 2, and I believe Biblio, Grave Danger, and Wormfarmer are at one, though I could be wrong somewhat.

I think I could get a top ten finish actually, if Al Baghdadi and Loughlin both die, and the Ian Brady punt was successful, but I definitely won't win, since jokering a FFBI was a bad idea.

I think the biggest issue is Kobayashi (which is why I didn't predict Still Life as a prediction in the top 5), but then again, I don't think anyone will get 20/20 this year anyways, as Spade and DI have Charles Bradley, Golden Slumbers has Golmard, and RadGuy has some, er, bad picks. Johnson and Elias are definite goners, and you still have the benefit of not using your joker yet unlike the other four, and I think she will die. What I really like are the DJ Casper, Hvortosky, and Berkowitz punts, and if they are sucessful, it'll definitely boost your score, and I do think Glen Campbell will die this year, which will help you. If they are successful, then the Gilbert/Ricketts/Stefansson trifecta will be the major players left on your team. Oh, Gord Downie is useless to all of you by the way, so it doesn't matter if he survives the year or not.

Fawkes is a hit for some people (an obit has to come surely). Meanwhile, I get a solo hit with Julia Perez. Oh, and all the people who had Magill scores as well.

That wave already began, with Brady, Noakes, Sallis, and Christie all dying within the last month, and that's only the one's who were deathlist hits. Also dead in the last month were Chris Cornell, Roger Moore, Gregg Allman, Manuel Noriega, and Adam West. I think it's safe to say the wave have already begun.

Yeah, you're the only one who had her at the moment though. I think I'm still in the lead even after Fawkes (for now), but I think the next hit you get that isn't shared will beat my current score. That is, if I don't get a hit before you, of course...

Poor 2001. Got 7 hits by the middle of April, but then it really dried up, and all it got after the huge big wave was an August hit, an October hit, and a November hit.

Strange. It wasn't showing up on my twitter search feed for some reason. Oh well, that's life for you...

Now hold on a second. All I'm seeing at the moment is twitter chatter, and while I certainly see a lot dead, when you look on her official site, nothing is showing up. No announcement is showing up on the list. Now, I'm not saying it's not true, but the sources that people are posting to show that she's dead don't mention her death at all. I would wait until an obit shows up to say thats she's actually dead.

At least she haven't have to suffer as long as Peter Falk.
