Many of us had Noakes. Rockhopper and drol also had Konstantinos whatshisface on their teams, and Allman was a hit for me. Strange how a quarter of the baby boomers on my team have already died, but it's not going to be much easier though...

Allman, Noakes was sad and died when he found out Peter Falk has passed away...

King Michael, one of our cancer folk got to go soon, right?

I think it feel huge for me cause I am a huge fan of music in general. My music tastes at the moment (besides the Allman Brothers tribute) currently consists of Jonathan Richman, Tim Buckley, Elvis Costello and Electric Light Orchestra, as well as a general folk list. And I try to listen to as many artists as I can...

The Sesame Street cast? They've been around for a long time...

Ah, Noakes won't beat Allman here in America, but it makes sense in the U.K.

John Noakes and Konstantinos Mitsotakis are overshadowed by Gregg Allman's death.
-
He was a good pick that returned to the list. RIP

Here's CNN for Ray Pfeifer: http://www.cnn.com/2017/05/28/us/9-11-firefighter-death/index.html

This list.
-
Ray Pfeifer has died. Don't know the likelihood of him getting a QO though.
-
Bonner was on the list (above Reg Presley of The Troggs), but with so many names, your bound to miss someone. Pavarotti is an embarrassing miss though.
-
Not Bush necessarily, but a few others on my mind.
-
Obviously more in the second half, which is why I mentioned it's harder to reach. But I can think of a couple of names that will probably die in the second half.
-
I reckon I'll probably be in the top 5 in the end, as I still see some hits that is yet to happen. But tbh, I'm surprised that I'm currently doing as well as I am at the moment, as it only took 5 minutes to make that list, and now 8 of them are dead by the end of May. I think this make the title harder to reach, but I think there will be some end of the year carkers on my team (Stefansson in particular). If my team does somehow win, it'll put a lot of pressure on the team I make next year for this dead pool (and it really is a fine dead pool).

My favorite song by them have to be the 23 minute At The Fillmore rendition of The Whipping Post. Such an epic rendition of that song.

Apart from maybe Robert Plant, I don't think anyone would ever be a bigger name than Bowie for the biggest name on the last, as all the others who would be bigger than him have either passed this age period or have already died earlier.
-
There was another one on the inaugural list, Andrea de Cesaris. I do agree with your general point though, Italians should have more representation.

Gregg Allman? The health issues were clearly there, he was clearly famous enough (being the lead singer in one of the most acclaimed bands of all time) and canceling the rest of his 2017 concerts ala Merle Haggard pretty much sealed his fate. Plus, considering his cause of death was apparently liver cancer, the Mayo Clinic treatment makes a lot more sense now. Besides the two true bonafide misses (ala Berry and Pirsig), the only other one so far that I may count as a miss is Don Rickles.
-
I think it's less the amount of musicians that die and more the amount of quality musicians that die in this time period. It's just a thought by me.
-
Ok, Inman will count, as he was a singer. The others aren't musicians.
-
Oh, this was solely music related. None of those would count (though I'll double check on a couple of them).
-
Are you Aaron Ramsey?

Last time on Last Word: Brendan Duddy, Nina Lowry, Roger Ailes, Osmund Reynolds, Roger Moore And since Gregg Allman has just died, I don't think Chris Cornell will be making an appearance on Last Word...
