You know, the fact that it looks like one of my gambles is probably going to pull through is probably the greatest achievement I can ask for in my debut DDP year. You gain nothing if you don't take risks, but Brady is a well played gamble imo.

Definitely true now...

Sweepstakes? It sounds pretty serious. I'm going for Tuesday the 16th.

Plus, she already got her own thread, she doesn't need another one.

Tbh, I don't want anyone to suffer great pain, even if they are as evil as Ian child killer Brady. I feel like no one should suffer a huge deal of pain as they transition to their demise.
-
On the other hand, there's also people who can last a long time with ALS, albeit Mr Stephen Hawking
-
Chuck Berry somewhat, considering he was very active until his demise, although he was 90.
-
Well, if it's true, then I'm happy one of my gambles might actually pay off. It'll put my team in a less unembarrassing position.
-
And they both do: Cat O'Falk, where are you?

May 25th. I was thinking about it, but since it's my last day of school, it'll happen then.

Well, it just goes to show how cultured I am.

I will try to guess 16 anyways cause it is still possible. If I had a guess: 1. Mary Tyler Moore 2. Joost van der Westhuizen 3. David Rockefeller 4. Hugh Hefner 5. Ian Brady (really strong gut feeling here) 6. King Michael of Romania 7. Herman Wouk 8. Ian St John 9. Gord Downie 10. Jake LaMotta 11. Errol Christie 12. Tony Booth 13. Bruce Forsyth 14. Glen Campbell 15. Kirk Douglas (if the record is broken, it'll be someone who's big) 16. George Bush Sr Although doing this list is reminding me how good certain picks are. And I do have the feeling one of our cancer folk will make it to 2018, and it's not Gord Downie...

I think Akihito is actually a decent pick due to him abdicating soon. He might be a year early though . Gay Byrne, on the other hand, has prostate cancer that isn't really that bad, and I think he's overreacting. I would guess one of the poor picks would go, but I felt like that job was already done (albeit MTM).

I feel like we're overdue a death. Not in the sense of in order to break the record (cause I'm not sure if we will anymore), but it just feels like one of the remaining 47 is going to die any minute now.
-
Ah, I should look into more details for some of these people.

I heard of this one guy from Columbo who got diagnosed with a disease that I can't remember. I think his name was Glen Wilder or something... -
I feel like a lot of these names don't feel deathlisty. Zandvliet, Bannister, Lloyd, and Big Van Vader don't feel like the type the committee would pick. Others aren't that ill, and some, such as Gasciogne and Samson wouldn't really be good picks. Oh, and I'm assuming Leah Bracknell would be #4

He was pretty frail from what I read.
-
He's not arguing over his obitability, we all know he will obit quite easily. He's arguing that he's not the sort of name you would see on the deathlist front page.
-
Actually, his name did show up at the beginning of the shows credits as well, iirc during when I did actually watch the show.
-
I don't think he needs his own thread quite yet. He is someone I can see on the list in a few years, but I don't think he needs one right now.
