About 32 hours or so to turn in your lists now. Remember the deadline for the crowdsource list is three hours before midnight in the UK, so keep that deadline in mind if you plan on submitting...
-
Michael Rosen did make a great own this year:
-
So, the new list is coming out in about 45 minutes. What are your thoughts on the overall list?
-
-
Someone should check to make sure Peter Falk is okay then...
-
His points have been dealt with now. Hopefully he’s the largest amount of points I have to deal with, but this is 2020 we’re talking about so don’t take anything for granted...
-
Yeah, 20 feels just right for this year
-
Yeah, I think the Deathlist will struggle to top this for a long time. But then again, two covid deaths did assist them in reaching this high of a score, so it’s not out of the question that they could reach 20 hits without the help of Covid...

So I was was waiting for 1 name in particular to die before the starting line to fuck me over with the crowdsource entries. As it stands, it looks like they’ll see 2021... but in turn it was actually Pierre fucking Cardin of all people who screwed me over. Well on track to make his second appearance on the list with 277 points. Well, it could’ve been worse I guess.

Hartlepool Deadlypool: As a gag team it was never planned on it being a win, so the fact that two unique picks actually brought a good chunk of points, I guess it's as good as it can be. C Inverse Deadpool: As usual I am awful at deciding on who will survive the year out. Go figures. D Death By Numbers: I am so close to overtaking Death Impends in this pool, but that final hit just doesn't seem to be there. There were a few nonobits that seemed a bit unfair (particularly Marian Cisovsky and Dr Bruce Reid) that I think will ultimately cost me the win. But despite that, as a team, it did extremely well in this pool, possibly my peak there... A Hare’s: For the second time in four years, my joker died in January. Despite 15/25 dead, a good chunk of them died early on making my final performance mid table. C Deathlist Correctlist: As usual, my predicting skills in which names could make the list is completely shite. Go figures. C Deathlist Poker Tournament: Started out really strong, but ultimately lagged out in the end. Though given I was kind of busy at the time the fact it did as strongly as it did there is something to note I guess B- Deathrace 2020: Yeah, I didn't do as well as I did last year, and I kind of deserved it. Besides not naming a joker, I went with more fringey names than usual which led to a pretty poor performance I definitely deserved. C- Deathlist Cup 2020: Given I was hosting the cup never really stood much of a chance competing. Which was made even worse when my original opponent was a no show so I had to go up against Sir Creep instead. D- Windy City 2019 - 2020: I am stuck being a bridesmaid here, aren't I? Every time I get into the top 3, but just could not quite reach first place. Though another top 3 appearance is certainly nothing to complain about at all. B+ Deathlist Correctlist 2020: Just like I am shit at predicting who will make the list, I am also shit at which names who made the list will actually score. Which is super fun. C- ABC Pool III: Got fourth in end, no doubt two nonobits hurt my chances although even if I got both of them it wouldn't have scored. But hey, I did well enough as it is. B MMMDP: Tried too hard this time. Actually went for a hospice name and I payed the price for it. Honestly was disappointed here. C Derby Dead Pool: On paper, it looks like it'll equal the best performance to date. Looking a bit deeper though, despite the likely placement this is actually my worst performing team to date. How? Well, this is both the team with the least amount of hits (11 this time compared with the usual 12) and the likely final score is two lower than my DDP debut, which is currently my lowest scoring performance. I'm definitely going to try something different next year, which might end up being successful or failing miserably. B- Alt Obits: The one pool that actually looks like I'm on track to win. No doubt that the Andretti/Barbarin daily double and Cisovsky being the youngest hit brought me over the line if it still holds up being true, but rules are rules. Even if I lose out on the title in the next few days though, this is by far my best performance to date. And I'm pretty happy with my ultimate placement regardless. A (will be A+ if I win) EDIT: A+ it is

Alright, I’ve sent in my alt obits team for 2021. Only 6 rejections in the end. Could be I’m lagging a bit behind on research or that I didn’t throw in as many risky picks as I did in the past. Good luck everyone.
-
Knowing Aucoin was rejected definitely ease up my nerves a bit for Alt obits as had he been accepted he would’ve gotten 24/25 points depending on whether he was a trio or regular hit plus the 10 end of the year bonus points.
-
Right, you’re in. Remember everyone else if you want your shadowlist to be entered in the crowdsource list just let me know.
-
He’s improving now but you know he’ll have the quick downturn on the 30th and die on the 31st so he becomes a crowdsource pain for me. I mean, I said nothing.
-
Oh good, I can talk about my off radar picks Lee Evans and Rick Davies without msc stealing them now...
-
Damn, almost like their deaths happening in the space of two weeks is entirely coincidental...

The Deathlist Christmas Special!
Joey Russ replied to Lady Die's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Well I’m sure senator Cornyn is having an amazing Christmas: -
Well, unlike the two above she was already on a fair few lists at this point.
-
I guess I can run down the hits (so far) that the Deathlist ultimately got and compare it to my initial thoughts on January 1st.
-
2020 has taken out so many legends this year, but at least we’ll always have Dilip Kumar on our side.

Shane is 63 today.
