Oh trust me, I’m waiting for Prince Philip or Jimmy Carter to die in the last 48 hours so I have to replace 800+ points in the end...
-
Chuck Yeager was at 32 points total when he died. Oh, this is going to be one of those years where I replace someone every other day, isn’t it?

Hello there. You might want to use a search bar first before making a thread. Thanks. https://forums.deathlist.net/topic/695-bob-dylan/

I doubt it. I imagine the university that he taught at, if nothing else, would announce his death so he’s likely still alive

So that’s our podium set then, and it’s only been a week since the game began. Which begs the question how many people picked will die before Christmas Day. 22 still lives...

Pretty sure Ruthie Thompson is one of the names, can’t say about the other seven though...

Former US senator Paul Sarbanes, who was the longest serving senator from the state of Maryland until Barbara Mikulski surpassed him by a day has died at 87

This person is taking the news of his virus well.

Peter Alliss got 49 points from one list when he died, and as such his points were taken care of. Thankfully no one has even gotten close to the 800 points that will inevitably come up in need of subbing during the last week of the year...

How to Make Your 2021 DDP Entry Easiest for Organiser
Joey Russ replied to Grim Up North's topic in Dead Pools
Alright, sent in my counterculture theme team in the spreadsheet to be a test dummy of sorts. For those wondering, the team is exactly the same as last year except the late Michael McClure gets replaced by the other Smothers Brother (the first one only got in due to the unfortunate demise of Ram Dass) -
Yeah, I personally think it’ll be hard for Kissinger to return to the list given he’s already on the list...
-
Betsy Wade, the first woman who edited at the New York Times (which was back in 1956) is dead at 91

If you’re looking for survivors of Covid theme team, I can tell you there’s lots of folk from the Amy Coney Barrett event that survived their bouts of Covid...

Alrighty, did the first snapshot of the 9 lists entered in so far, and there’s some interesting stuff so far. There’s some names I’m surprised are making the 50 so far, but this is early days so a few of them will fall down the sofa, but also the list is wide open with so many names gone this year so could be that some names are trying to fill new roles as bedblockers. There’s also a few names I expected to make the list but are doing surprisingly well. However, this is only after one week, and things can massively change especially during the final week. Remember that Sultan Qaboos and John Lewis were able to make it on solely due to last week lists (or 48 hours lists in the case of John Lewis)...

Above post might answer your question EDIT: wait, are you calling on banning teams who picked them in the past? Cause if that’s the case definitely not a good idea
-
The ones I would personally drop are: 1. John Edrich 2. Shane MacGowan 3. Emperor Akihito 4. Pervez Musharraf 5. Lester Piggott 6. Dick Cheney 7. Imelda Marcos Unfortunately I think Akihito is a bedblocker at this point so that’s probably the spot they’ll cut off someone who shouldn’t be cut like Joanne Woodward...

1977 and 1995 aren't really recent though...

While I agree with your general point I'd argue that Sadhana Shivdasani is a big name for at least one member on the forums...

Will the 2020 DeathList break the 2017 DeathList record?
Joey Russ replied to GWB_'s topic in DeathList Forum
Ah, so nobody can make a joke anymore? Sad... -
Cancer names Leon Spinks and Tom Smith are still alive too. Really amazing that one or both of them could see out the year...
