Meh, I knew about Dale Hawerchuk’s recurrence at this point, but didn’t play him cause I wanted to keep the recurrence news under radar. Only that he got mentioned a few days after the pool “began” and died about a fortnight after that. Sometimes these things happen though...

And things look to be speeding up. I had Dale Hawerchuk. Unlike the past few hits he was a member of my original 40. No chance of a solo though as at least Cancerous Hatred picked him in this pool. Maybe I can get a duet or trio though. EDIT: it’s a trio. The first time I got a trifecta of solo, duet, and trio in one year too.

Yeah, but you got to keep in mind that Deathlist does have to have a bit of a standard on fame and not allow everyone to get on. Say (to use an example of a recently deceased ill person) the Deathlist ended up picking Alauddin Ali this year. There’s no way in hell he ever would’ve gotten a QO (and he didn’t get a UK obit), but would someone like him really be an acceptable pick? I doubt it. Also, would you think that Taylor Swift’s mum is deathlisty? Or Sherrie Hewson’s brother? If the Deathlist was just trying to get the most hits I think it’d lose some of its charm. Of course, there will be annoying misses that people are mad about, but that’s how the list goes. Plus, there’s a reason so many people got mad at Gates dad being on the list. And for good reason too.

Let’s be honest, would anyone really care if Gates was dropped and become a Deathlist miss? He’s definitely the most wtf Deathlist pick I’ve seen in my times on the forums.

It’s really a shame this had to happen but ultimately I think this is the right choice. A lot of his outbursts were really annoying, which were done on a regular basis, and I think a few of his outbursts were potentially dangerous. He had many chances to redeem himself, but every single time he doesn’t seem to listen and eventually an outburst does happen. It’s an unfortunate cycle he’s in, and all I can say is I really hope he eventually finds a way to get help.
