Of the three team captains during its run, Lionel Blair is 90 now, Una Stubbs 82 and Liza Goddard 69. I would hazard a guess that almost half the guests who have appeared on the show have now departed.

And the answer if anyone cares is 1980. All the players from the 1979 final are still with us apart from one unused sub. 1982 is the oldest final where every single player in the squads and managers are still alive.
