    Dying Bigots

Merely pointing out that it’s quite a label to throw in someone that simply holds dumb opinions.

    Dying Bigots

I fail to see how this individual belongs in this thread. It’s deeply inappropriate to place individuals here who are merely famous for holding unpopular or idiotic opinions and beliefs. Campaigning for so called “decency” may be outdated and silly but it is not bigoted. Can we please save this thread for people who are explicitly famous for peddling hate?

    1. Jimmy Carter

Truly the kindest response I’ve received from that one yet.

    1. Jimmy Carter

Definitely not quite. He was often called Jerry but Jimmy Carter was never called by his actual given name.

    1. Jimmy Carter

Indeed; and no one ever called JFK ‘Jack’, or Eisenhower ‘Ike’.

    1. Jimmy Carter

Actually, no. Many spelled it that way but when it was written by those who knew him they usually spelled it with a ‘j’. Probably because Gerald was not his given name. It was Leslie. I believe Gerald came from the childhood nickname Jerry. https://geraldrfordfoundation.org/gerald-r-ford-biography/

    Norman Lear

Never heard of Fawlty Towers - as, I believe, a fellow American, I will say you are missing out. Very few episodes and absolutely brilliant, and I’m not an Anglophile or anything. Give it a watch sometime.

You, like the other fellow, don’t seem to understand the meaning of the word important.

African Leaders - Despots and Democratic

I’m still entirely unsure how that’s important.

Auguste Plenet, last surviving Guianese member of the Forces Françaises Libres, has died aged 99. Fixed that for you - your wording was ambiguous.

    Political Frailty

Any physician may declare death, as happens when people die during surgery etc., however EMTs are not physicians hence the “found unresponsive”. Again, this is not true in all jurisdictions. Perhaps this is because the concept of a “law time of death” is quite nebulous.

    Political Frailty

In some jurisdictions, in the U.S. at least, emergency medical services are not able to legally declare death. This must be done by a physician, usually the coroner, and the “time of death” is when this determination is made. Perhaps there is some similar procedure in the UK?

    Hollywood Possibilities

Definitely a sex symbol of sorts because of Three’s Company. Ended up making a lot of commercials for the Thighmaster and other workout regimens in the 90s.

Perhaps @Whitehouse has managed it and this is just a very revealing autocorrect error.
