Her outfit was lovely though.

The problem with branding it a 'Truss moment' is that this could mean a multitude of things. Smashing the economy into a wall is a 'Truss moment'. Lasting less time than a lettuce is a 'Truss moment'. Opening up a pork market is a 'Truss moment'. Killing a monarch is a 'Truss moment'.

Well, he's already killed off the Rwanda policy, so it's a spirited start.
-
Dent nails it again.
-
Both Basildon seats have been won by incredibly small margins. They've also been won by cunts.
-
I wonder if he'll have another stab at the leadership...he's a perennial loser with rather a precarious majority so perhaps not, but you never know. James Stupidly, Suella Depraverman, Tom Tugend and Kemi Bad Enoch are bound to launch their bids in the coming days.
-
No worries, it's also helpful for me as 16 of my 17 hits are twats so it's a pleasure to have a look at all those losses

Yvette Fielding will be a fine Home Sec. Happy with that appointment.

17 of 25! I'll take that. Now to set about combing through the 650 new MPs...I've got 10 locks already.

Try entering a team in Sean's By-Election Bingo pool.

An update on SBET: 80 votes are being contested, apparently there are numerous bundles with the wrong party within them. It's a big old shambles basically. What is clear, though, is it's rather shockingly a tossup between Labour and Reform, and the incumbent Tory Stephen Metcalfe is history.

This is a question of how you ACTUALLY voted in the UK General Election held today (4th July 2024). If you didn’t vote, please do not participate in this poll. If you did vote, please answer honestly. No judgement, no debates, we have other threads for that. The poll is anonymous, though you can choose to announce how you voted if you want to. If you voted in the UK General Election today, where did your X go? At ten bongs, we’ll have our own exit poll to go with the big nationwide one. Election night special analysis to be held in the General Election 2024 thread, with a collective of expert contributors that put the BBC, ITV, Sky and C4 to shame. Polling stations open at 0700 and close at 2200. Remember to bring your Photo ID with you. If you want to tactically vote for change, you can check who your best bet is here.

Truss' vote share was down 43.4%. That is one fucking hell of a collapse. She's the first former PM to lose her seat since Arthur Balfour 120 years ago.
-
The icing on the cake, that. Fucking marvellous. And she even refused to speak
-
Slow handclapping in Norfolk for Liz Truss who didn't appear on stage
-
South Basildon & East Thurrock, which The Old Cremsberg falsely called for Reform with no source, is not going to declare this morning. It'll be going to a recount at 2pm.
-
Maidenhead, formerly of Theresa May, is no longer a Tory seat, which elicited a "Goodness me!" from Beth Rigby.
-
Jimmy Dimly is definitely laying a cable out a leadership pitch right now on Sky. The Tories still aren't done fucking themselves yet!
-
Braintree's a shithole.
-
Lib Dems have officially had their best night since the SDP/Liberal merger, with 63 seats as it stands.
-
Tell you what, I think Sky have won in the coverage stakes. Not necessarily for the presenters (though I respect Andy Burnham and Trevor Phillips), but for Beth Rigby's gasps and "ooh!"s in reaction to most of the results coming through
