He tried to make up for it, but the Biden of even the VP years doesn't make the mistake to begin with.

I mean, I won't complain if some of the bed warmers on the list/various deadpools get claimed. But it seems like a lot of people who would be certs for next year are dying ASAP post diagnosis of fatal illnesses, while Bracknell continues to make me question if she ever had cancer to begin with.

Agreed - it's not even the main DL, even the Drop 40's doing pretty poorly this year, so it's not like the masses were better at picking than the committee. Barring a seriously major death, this year's just not too big of a blip on the 'celebrity death' radar, IMO.
