Bria, American journalist for the AP who spent the early part of his career covering the Italian Campaign of World War II and flashed word of the German surrender in Italy, after which he went on to become a chief UN correspondent, a key news editor, and a gardening columnist, died on 18th March aged 101. George Braziller, American literary publisher and founder of George Braziller, Inc., known for its publication of literary and artistic books, as well as foreign authors, died on March 16th aged 101. His firm published works of literary legends including Nobel Prize in Literature winners Jean-Paul Sartre, Orhan Pamuk, and Cluade Simon. John Crutcher, American politician and member of the Kansas State Senate from 1953 to 1957, as well as Lieutenant Governor of Kansas from 1965 to 1969, died on March 13th, aged 100. Monsignor Vincent Foy, Canadian Roman Catholic cleric and theologian, died on March 13th aged 101. He was the longest serving priest in the Toronto Archdiocese, and consistently wrote about the evils of artificial contraception. At the time of his death, he was the second-longest serving diocesan priest in Canadian history.

Prince Richard, head of the German house of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg and husband of Princess Benedikte of Denmark (younger sister of Danish Queen Margrethe II and elder sister of Greek Queen Anne-Marie) has died aged 82.

Former Vice Presidet of Taiwan/Republic of China Li Yuan-Tsu has died aged 94. I'm using the spelling of his name on Wikipedia, not the one in the death notice.

Joe Rogers Sr., co-founder and former CEO of Waffle House, has died aged 97. Along with co-founder Tom Forkner, he continued to hold a majority in the company until death.

Bill Hougland, basketball player with Kansas University and the Phillips 66ers of the National Industrial Basketball League, and two-time gold medallist at the Olympics (1952 Helsinki and 1956 Melbourne, men's basketball) has died aged 86. He also served as vice president for Koch Industries and president of Koch Oil before his retirement in 1991.

Dave Hunt, comic book artist who worked on both Marvel and DC Comics, including titles Supergirl, Spider-Man, Captain America, and Wonder Woman, has died of cancer at age 74. He also worked on Disney Comics starting from the 1990s.

Dudley Storey, New Zealand rower who won gold in the coxed four (1968 Mexico Olympics) and silver in the coxless eight (1972 Munich Olympic), has died aged 77. No cause of death yet, but he had reportedly just been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.

James Walker, a mainly stage actor who had a role in a couple of TV shows and films (notably Nineteen Eighty-Four, in which he played Syme) has died aged 76.

If he was dead, we'd probably know by now - the BBC at least would have reported on it by now, I think.

I'm seeing reports of his death all over Twitter too, though most people are linking to the HispanTV article as proof.

Howard Schmidt, Obama's cybersecurity advisor from December 2009 until May 2012, has died of cancer aged 67. He also served as the vice chair of the President's Critical Infrastructure Protection Board and special advisor for cybersecurity under the second President Bush, starting December 2001, and helped create the US National Strategy to Secure CyberSpace, serving as its chair from Jan-May 2003, when he first retired from the White House.

I don't know if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but Sir Michael Palmer, former Defence Services Secretary, died on 21st Feb at age 88.
