Try this test. Very quick and painless. My analysis: Hmmm. Don't know about that. -
Oh my God, I am so sad.

Good one Tartarus! I'm terminally bored. Also thoroughly enjoying this game! May I suggest, to those of you with an addictive personality, that you don't try this activity! 28 seconds is my record (I get up early and practice!). My best is only 4 seconds. Better get some practice in. The kids won't be eating tomorrow! -
Somewhere or other in one of these threads, I think I've mentioned that I want the classic tune from ' The Wizard of Oz' played at my funeral. ' Ding! Dong! The witch is dead! ' - sing along now...

I was, and still am, pathetically, a huge fan of The Breakfast Club! I always thought it was way too harsh to keep badly behaved teenagers in extended detension, and thought the principal was far too mean. I am now a lot older and agree totally with the whole concept!!

Jetsetting around the world? Not me. I'm going on a day trip. To the seaside. On Thursday. More acurately, my mother-in-law is taking us ( my hubby, my son, my daughter and I) on a day trip. These trips, I have found, do strange things with the flow of time. For all of you, time will be moving at the normal pace; you may not even notice my absence from the DL! For me, time will warp and stretch so that an hour takes six hours and a short day trip becomes like a weekend of hell and I shall be longing for home and pining for sanity. Think of me on Thursday, send me mental messages of strength and courage so I shall be able to survive the ordeal that is... The Day Trip.

Hello CarolAnn and welcome to the DL! I've just bought some great paint to decorate my son's room. It's all Crayola stuff, all really bright colours, plus some Chalkboard paint, some Magnetic paint and some Glow-In-The-Dark paint! I love decorating and I'm soooo excited!

You should be on stage MPFC! You crack me up! ( As a comedian; just in case you wondered why I thought you should be on the stage. )

I don't listen to Radio 1. I was forced to as a child by my 'popular-music-loving' parents. I escaped their torture and lived with my older sister, only to find that she, too, listened to the dreaded R1! From my experiences with the station, I would definitely vote for the smug and sickly Simon Bates to make an appearance here. Soon. ( I quite enjoyed Alan Freeman's Pick of the Pops, pop-pickers, as a child. Only because they played oldies though. )

You could try making musical instruments out of your food items. -
The Royal-Doctor-Who story continues... As Dr Who-Charles meets with the evil Bag-Of-Wind, he trys to ignore the EAR* alarm that is causing his ears to glow and heat up. *Expected Attack from the Redface-Men ( from planet 22496459873***66^^~) I really need to get out more.

Welcome back! Did you have a great old time? Did you bring us some rock? Do they do Pennsylvanian rock? Will I stop asking questions soon? As this is the new thread for antagonistic comments/ remarks/ responses, I should maybe say something nasty, just to stay on topic; I don't want to get told off. Here goes.... erm... oh crap, I can't think of anything. I guess I'll have to be told off.

Buster seems to be doing just fine right now. Peachy. Wonderful. Best he's ever been, apparently. Will anyone be popping along to the Badfest?

Happy belated birthday to Godot! Also, happy birthday to Rotton Ali; I don't think we've conversed yet so, also, hello! -

Gosh. I just think it's a rockin' tune! Well, if those guys are right then I disagree with the message of the song. If not, and I hope not, then it's still one great riff! To Star Crossed, I am learning a musical instrument, although I doubt I'm going to take the world by storm with my ukulele versions of hard rock tracks! To BHB, there have been many versions of In The Jailhouse Now, but the one I chose is taken from ' O Brother Where Art Thou '; a great film with an excellent soundtrack. The Soggy Bottom Boys is the name of the band in the film, but really it's Dan Timinsky (?) who should get the credit! -
Or you could have just said, "I wasn't being sarcastic", you'd have probably got an apology and that would have been that. The phrase 'divine suggestion' appears so over the top for applauding a quite good idea it seems reasonable to me that he would presume you were being sarcastic. I do honestly applaud you for your massive leap of logic to deduce a Tempus/CP conspiracy from a fairly mild suggestion from CP, and an inoffensive (I think) signature from TF with your login name in it. I also think that the schoolmaster 'tone' (insofar as you can type a tone without adding smilies) that you try and take is certainly an exciting approach to take. Out of interest, who's doing the throttling and who's doing the thrashing? You're such a sweetie TLC, always trying to tone down the bitterness and hoping for all to shake hands and make friends again. You seem quite good at calming angry situations and being very diplomatic in your suggestions to those concerned. Are you a teacher or a police constable by any chance? As for Cerf's response to Canadian Paul, he's obviously trying to wind people up. Best to just ignore him, I think.

That's about as exciting as it gets around where I live! More breaking news from this neck of the woods, although I don't think the national papers could deal with it, all about fairy cakes. It takes a little while to load up, so keep with it, it's really worth it!

Ok, I may have actually gotten close to completing my Desert Island Discs... possibly. 1. Sweet Home Alabama - Lynyrd Skynyrd 2. Monkberry Moon Delight - Paul McCartney 3. Don't You Worry Bout A Thing - Stevie Wonder 4. Man of Constant Sorrow - The Soggy Bottom Boys 5. I'm In The Jailhouse Now - Soggy Bottom Boys 6. Golden Slumbers - The Beatles 7. Every other song by The Beatles because I really can't choose. No. It will not do at all. I'll have to swap a few for some others.... -
That's just the comparison I decided on when reading the many posts of Mr Cerf. I've had a lot of experience with this ' syndrome ' and have spotted many signs of it in his posts. I must admit that I find the cluttering-up of almost ALL threads, with meaningless nothingness, to be rather annoying too. You're not alone, Star Crossed!

Before we start nominating a few good men and women you should perhaps read my thoughts on the Death Penalty, the abolition of Association Football. Still with you. Even more so now!!

He certainly is popping up everywhere. Surely he must stop for a rest at some point? Maybe to get some sleep or something...?

I'd vote for Harvester of Souls and Maryportfuncity in any election. You're speaking my language! Bravo.
