Do you mean this one? She might have been referring to the one about Patrick Swayze Which implied that she might be a bit crazy

Forgot to add Mercury to that list, sorry. Can I put in a word for Jim Morrison and Joe Strummer?
-
Surely they meant that his career had fallen off a cliff?

Good to see some parts of the media are principles. Though the BBC have 'confirmed' it, the wording of their reports seems oddly non-committal with lots of "reports say" and 'is dead' rather than just saying he is dead. The Beeb is keen to bury bad news today.

Maybe he suffocated on it in a swine-flu induced panic.

It'll throw cold water over the whole occasion.

With Obama playing the role of Earl Spencer.

Then again, she managed to get over Richard Burton, so let's not put her on amber just yet.

You mean can we Beat It, just Beat It?

A man lies on his deathbed, with his wife weeping beside him. 'I've had many happy years with you', he gasped, 'But you're still young and I want you to know that you deserve happiness and you shouldn't hesitate if the chance comes around to marry again'. 'I'd rather not talk about things like that', says the wife, through her tears. 'No', says the husband, 'I've thought carefully about this and the only thing I wouldn't like is if you let your future husband wear any of my clothes'. 'I wouldn't dream of it', says the wife, 'They don't fit him anyway'.

Still one short of a Trinity, but they do say these things happen in threes.

Now she's won one H, she's going to be bigger than ever... And another thing, no way is she 33. She's 37 if she's a day. I actually thought she looked much older than 33 as well. She's younger than me, and I haven't got a wrinkly neck like that - on the other hand, my chins do a good job of covering up my neck, so maybe I have..... You can almost hear the collective pulling of knives out of her back..... Good grief Handy, you are clearly a sweet lady at the end of her tether, cruely suffering Katewinslettitus. As for you Lardy, I expected nothing else.... Mmm. Actually, I quite like her. I just think she looks older than she is, that's all. I was once convinced that she was in the queue in Asda in front of me, it was at a time when I believe she was living near Bath, so it would have been quite feasible for her to be in my local Asda. Until I noticed she was buying Smart Price bread. Did she manage to choke back the tears when she thanked the cashier? -
You could add that the first news of the illness broke while she was in India on a career-retrieving mission which could easily have gone horribly wrong if she had stayed there much longer. But......

Hmmm... self-made millionaire who worked in finance. Surely no life could be less stressful in the current benign climate?

Your Least Impressive Celebrity Encounters

I have played American football, I've never been defeated in the qualifying rounds for the Wimbledon tennis championships, and no newspaper has ever paid me to reveal the sordid details of any affair with a major American actress. -

Including Cromwell himself. Old Wart Face had already snuffed it, so they just dug up his corpse and hanged it on Tyburn Tree to make sure that it was really dead. -

Which newspaper was this article in? Probably this one... Serves him right for buying a red-topped tabloid and not the family-friendly Daily Mail. -

David Harts listed on Wikipedia don't - currently - include our croaking man. So, no CPDP points, then. He ought to get one for the DDP though, quite a notorious figure in his time, friends in high places, all that...providing he pops it next year... Well I picked him for my DDP team - only to be told in DL Chat last night that he was already dead. I can find no evidence to support this claim, so I'm hoping he still breathes. I hope that, unlike Phil Drabble and Steve Fossett, I'm right about this one. I might have to concede on this one, DDT - can't find evidence of his demise, so perhaps he passed away in one of my regular dreams about the heroes of the Thatcher years. Well that's a relief. I can concentrate all my efforts on tracking down Gerry Rafferty now. I too had night time visions about David Hart recently - it was dark, dark stuff; Arthur Scargill had sort of morphed in to Hannibal Lecter and was roasting your hero on a spit, using the contents of Hart's wallett to keep the fire going and feeding bits of him to Dave Nellist, Derek Hatton and Dennis Skinner. Someone (possibly the late Eric Heffer) was videoing events, so that the tape could be sent to Thatcher. I've had that dream to, and I'm sure that 'Baker Street' was playing in the background....

I have no problems with people having their own opinions and ideas about anything. However, when you support a communist dictator bastard and have never been to Cuba, nor have family in Cuba who have lived in the situation that is present ATM you are just being pig-headed and rather cruel. Imagine having an "allowance" on what you can "buy" to eat every month. I doubt anyone of us can live on 3 eggs a month. Or having an uncle thrown in prison for 12 yrs because he was caught selling red-meat (personal expirience) I am a proud American born and raised here and I do not wish death upon anyone. That should be self-sufficient. Also, "Che" as the user above registered himself as was no better then Fidel himself. Personal expiriences are much more relavent, again. And Fidel should count himself lucky, since the US government believes in freedom and self-determination and has worked tirelessly to ensure that the Cuban experiment in socialism was given every chance to succeed.
