Fine effort ladies and gentlemen: Sylvester Stallone's brother has lashed out at "sick and demented' trolls who were spreading rumours he was dead. Taking to Twitter, Frank Stallone said: "Rumors that my brother is dead are false. What kind of sick demented cruel mind thinks of things like this to post? People like this are mentally deranged and don’t deserve a place in society."

I am sure he will get an obit in England. But the match fixing and high jinks with Marseille will probably take up more of it than his other business activities. That is when I first ever heard of him.

Well done to the lions. From the BBC: A suspected big cat poacher has been eaten by lions near the Kruger National Park in South Africa, police say. The animals left little behind, but some body parts were found over the weekend at a game park near Hoedspruit. "It seems the victim was poaching in the game park when he was attacked and killed by lions," Limpopo police spokesman Moatshe Ngoepe told AFP. "They ate his body, nearly all of it, and just left his head and some remains." Police have not yet established the victim's identity. A loaded hunting rifle and ammunition were found next to the body, South African website Eyewitness News reports.

Notorious not convicted murderers. Mr Wagner already dealt with. Cannot find much on Claus von Bulow. But of an age. Life now well hidden. But would hit the headlines.

A quick question given the recent announcements by Elton John and Paul Simon. Anyone know how many other pop stars have headed out all hale and hearty and buoyant on their Official Last World Tour and never managed to get to the end of it alive? None spring to mind personally.
