    24. Jean-Marie Le Pen

for me he's a goner this year. He's gone down quite quickly since 2022 and I agree with Daredevil, he may be a late hit in the second half of the year. The fact that his journal de bords are now weekly just makes me think that they want to enjoy him the more they can because they might think he has not much time left

Nº689. Should we start a sweepstake on how many more he can complete before passing ?

    Ideas and possibilities for 2024

Adrien Quatennens now excluded from left wing party. He was just "suspended" until now. His come back to the Assemblée Nationale has been vividly criticized by almost everyone. I doubt he's under suicide risk right now but if he gets excluded from the La France Insoumise Party, he could be someone to watch.

People I Was Surprised To Find Are Still Alive

Claude Zidi (b. 1934), french film director and screenwriter is still alive at 88. I thought he died years ago but that's probably because I'm mistaking him with Gérard Oury (1919-2006), another legendary film director of 70-80's french comedies. Zidi is a DDP pick this year.

    Ideas and possibilities for 2024

A new video about Catherine Laborde, perenial pick for french teams here, suffering from body lewy dementia since 2016 or more. She doesn’t look bad but states that she is not doing well, you can tell by the way her eyes move that she’s completely lost. Can see her surviving the year though but at What coast ? She’s disminished and this thing seems just horryfiyng https://fb.watch/iiINxevgBl/

    Hollywood Possibilities

Jeremy Renner update : he was injured trying to rescue his nephew Who would have been crushed by the snow machine. Reminds me of Naya Rivera. Why did they keep rescuying their kids ?

    Ideas and possibilities for 2024

Andress deserves consideration TOO but imo Loren is a legend, the last one of a very small group (Hepburn, Baccall, Bergman, Grace Kelly, Elizabeth Taylor etc…). Plus, she’s the last living inclusion of the AFI’s best actor/actress list

    Ideas and possibilities for 2024

Really think the committee (and myself) should stop overlooking Sophia Loren. She’ll be 90 next year and deserves a spot. I always considered her to be Kind of immortal but she’s definitely going into dangerous zone now. And as we know, not everyone makes it to 100 or is beyond 100.

    Derby Dead Pool 2023

two question : • why is it written on the drop 40 page : "total dropped in 2023...02!" ? Is it the two celebs that didn't make the drop 40 from last year ? • also, what does this stat mean ? are the "total hits" the total of point for that person or the total of hits the person had since being in the DDP ? Same question with the total teams

    The Alive List

That’s actually not a bad idea. You will have a lot of work to do making sure all the candidates meet the required criteria though

    Death Anniversary Thread

Queen Audrey Hepburn died on this day, 30 years ago, aged 63, following colon cancer. She was the 2nd deathlist hit that year after Noureev. Edit : sorry already posted by hell, didn’t see that.

    David Crosby

I wouldn't call Crosby a miss. Yes he was on the list, and yes he was said to be frail/ill. But the purpose of the list is sorting to come up with 50 celebs that are likely to die. There were and are sicker/older celebs that deserved to be on list over him. Of course one can argue that people like Cheney and Alda shouldn't have been on the list over him. But let's keep in mind that Crosby had approximately the same chances of dying than those two (to quote only two) : this is just unpredictable at this stage. People that I would call "misses" would be Vialli, Whales, Vitti, Trintignant and Nichols last year. Even Constantin II was not a miss per se, there were people more sick and frail than him.
