Wishing Stephen Sondheim a quick recovery (despite the fact that I have him on my death-by-numbers list ). Jean Paul Belmondo was hurt after a fall recently & I certainly would miss him too. I remember Charles Aznavour & Eddie Fisher who survived just a few days after they fell out of bed. --------------- King Harald of Norway has been hospitalized yesterday He'd also been ill during the Christmas holidays, but the palace officials claimed he is not suffering from anything serious. https://www.newsinenglish.no/2020/01/08/king-harald-admitted-to-hospital/

The "Sun" got pictures of him shopping for groceries in Malibu. He can still take care of himself. Not bad for a 94 years old. https://www.the-sun.com/entertainment/227184/dick-van-dyke-shaggy-beard-la-grocery-shopping/

Congratularions. I have been envious about your high hit rate for two years and wish you the best. Especially since you don't have my most beloved celebrities on your list. Except Trintignant & Belmondo, who lead (mostly) happy and fulfilled lives . I read that the latter hurt himself after a fall. Are there any news concerning his health?

Celebrities don't get cancer because you put them on a list. You put them on a list after they announced to the world that they have cancer. I hope that you can sleep in peace now, knowing that you're not responsible for their deaths. Unless you pray for their demise. Or stick needles into wax figures.

Perhaps her cervical cancer was not stage 4 when it was first diagnosed in 1988? Either this, or her surgeon managed to cut out all her secondary tumours. I really can't see how someone can survive stage 4 cancer for 32 years.

You can waste five minutes of your life learning the difference between "your" and "you're" and "their" and "they're" or you can waste more than five minutes insulting grammar-nazis. Btw: Is something bugging you? Can I help?

Terminally ill people who die by their own hands are not uncommon. Some practice even in workshops organized by activists like Chris Docker. (Who wrote the useless "Five last acts". He recommends self-starvation & unobtainable drugs).

28 Years Of The Deathlist!
ThePrematureBurial replied to themaninblack's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I remember 1982 vividly. So many celebrities died this year, some of them totally unexpected: Romy Schneider, Curd Jürgens, Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Princess Grace of Monaco, Ingrid Bergman, Henry Fonda, John Belushi, Leonid Brezhnev, Ngaio Marsh... Many people thought at the time that this year was jinxed for some reason. And the year before was the one with all those assassination attempts: Ronald Reagan, Pope Paul II. President Anwar Sadat of Egypt and even an Austrian politician were shot to death. There were other assassinations during the following years: Indira Ghandi, Olof Palme, Yitzhak Rabin... -

Thoughts and Opinions on the 2020 List
ThePrematureBurial replied to Joey Russ's topic in DeathList Forum
The committee assumed that the centenarians will go before the octogenarians. Yet most famous persons die between their sixties and their eighties. I predict that we will lose many beloved stars born in the 1930ies and 1940ies. Tears will flow. -
It's the first day of the year. So please, leave Sir Creep alone. He's not in a glass house. Unless queen Elizabeth, Gorbachev or Assange meet their maker before papa Gates...

Ideas and Possibilities for 2021
ThePrematureBurial replied to Paul Bearer's topic in DeathList Forum
I wish everybody a happy new year, and I regret, that I submitted my shadow list 2020 too early. I missed John Lewis and cardinal Christoph Schönborn, who has prostate cancer and just survived a pulmonary infarction. Two good candidates for 2021. If they survive the next year, of course. -
Alex Trebek, please.

Her sel-preservation drive is weaker than I thought. What's the use of eating rice-crackers and spending much of her life in the gym, if she is surrounded with malicious advisors? Those butt implants have killed many women before, her adopted children won't care for her when she's old , and her biological children resent, that their new siblings usurped their birthright. I wouldn't like to be in her shoes. -

ThePrematureBurial replied to Joey Russ's topic in Dead Pools
Dear Mr. Russ, I would like to respectfully submit my shadow list for your consideration, if you think it complies with your rules. It's on the shadow list thread, page 16. I enjoyed reading you and wish you a happy and healthy new year. -
Please, does someone know if Dolores Ethel Mae Barrymore is still alive? https://www.geni.com/people/Dolores-Barrymore/6000000006809896858 She's the daughter of the famous actor John Barrymore and his third wife, Dolores Costello. Born on 8. April 1930 and still alive in 2011, according to her nephew: http://eeriedigest.com/2011/08/interview-with-actor-john-blyth-barrymore/ John had two other children, Diana ("Too much, too soon"), from his second marriage with Blanche Oelrichs, and John Jr. (Drew Barrymore's father) with Dolores Costello. Both are already dead. Dolores Ethel Mae married twice. Her first husband was Thomas A. Fairbanks, her second was Lewis Joseph Bedell. She had or has four children. I tried "find a grave", but there is no result. Her dear father was one of my favorites and I would be very grateful, if someone who knows or knew her would tell me what became of her.
